When I was working on the designs I tried inverting the colours of the hyundai logo but wasnt sure if team kiwi had to stick to the version they had on thursday/friday so I just keeped it the same. Now that I have seen the new hyundai logo with inverted colours I must say it looks much better, but there needs to be work done on its placement and size.

Hyundai is a serious competitor to Komatsu or CAT at the budget priced end of the market. The business seems to bet getting a major footholding here and in NZ, servicing those people who arent absolute brand freaks, and would prefer function and price over any other option.

Good on them for joining the sport, and joining this team!

jjd, in answer to your question we had a mixed weekend but a good test and better here than Clipsal. Craig left the track avoiding someone elses spin in race 1 and touched the tyre wall very lightly. No damage but lost a power steer belt and a DNF.
Race 2, Craig (and others)collected some rubbish in the air intakes and then fuel lift pump failure.
Race 3, made 5 places and kept out of trouble.
TKR are very happy with this car and have a very positive feeling for the session.

jjd, we have perchased a very well engineered race car and that means the setup for us is not to difficult. Time will tell how well we do at getting it right and a test day will help but that won't happen until after Clipsal. This weekend was a good test for us and Craig is very impressed with the car.

GTR I hope you dont mind me modifying some of your pictures.

Anyway here is what the TKR car could look like using a different silver fern design.

ive modified the fern so much (to accomodate for the different 3D views) that it has sort of lost its shape a bit.

i did try it parallel but it cut off to much of they silver fern I designed. Since TKR have used this new hyundai logo which is mainly black, I reckon you can get away with the angle it is on

It doesnt have to be 2 colours though does it? The ones you put together with the Kiwi in the background were cool.

If you take note of the Dynamik design for Holy Grail Wines, you will see the team logo in red under that branding... so subtlety creates plenty of possibilities.

I was wondering too if TKR had taken a peek at the Toyota Team Racing logo, and how close it seemed to their own...

After talking to David and Martin I think team kiwi wants to stick to a silver fern, and the black and silver colours. So im just trying to make it look as good as I can while staying within the requirements TKR have suggested

The fern looks ok to me the only thing that is irritating me is the border lines on the Hyundai logo are a bit harsh
particularly where it meets the number.

They should get rid of that big silver fern and give the sponsors a car they are proud to have their name on. As it is now i wouldn't want MY name on it.
There are a couple of places they could put a silver fern; up each side of the bonnet for instance.

This pic shows the subtlety of the Dynamik logo in the background of the main sponsor. The team will likely change the sponsor branding a little to make it stand out more, but the basis of the Dynamik brand itself is in the background....

Maybe that something you could work on Nicko, like the Kiwi or fern designs you had in the original pics...

Hi All

After looking at the current TKR design, and yours Nicko, I have to say I like the current one (looking mainly at the fern here).

After looking at some pics on the TKR site, I think the silver fern on your design is too similar to the older TKR designs (although I know the shape of the leaves is a bit different). I know the fern can only be done in so many ways, but maybe you could come up with something a little more outside the square Nicko??
