Now can she go away and remove her putrid existence from our mediocre lives?

I might buy it out of interest in a couple of weeks when the Works are selling for it 50 pence.

Regarding women drivers in F1. Unfortunatly there just doesn't seem to be many women in motorsport. How many women compete in motorsport compared to men? ratio of 1:100? 1:1000? higher?
OK and of this 1% how many actually have the talent to make it to F1 level? Teams shouldn't be bullied into employing a female driver just because they feel its PC and the "correct" thing to do! I guess there is Sarah Fisher who has impressed in the IRL, but so did Michael Andretti and when he came to F1 he was chucked out after about 10 races, who is to say she wouldn't be the same? Then again, you could put Fisher in a car and she could out perform Schumacher / Kimi / Alonso. |

This tread was brought up last year with the exact same opening thread. I think this just proves that there isn't much to talk about in the off season

True-not much more to say on this subject-has anyone seen Bev since last summer? There are several other threads on women racers.

Keep posting Dan, it'll keep this at the top of the list Monster was just adding something to the thread about females in general. There we go again back to the top!

I read that article a few days ago - good work by Mark Glendenning.
I think I'll re-read Beverley's book this weekend. |

I love it how she complains in there about websites having a 'pit babes' section
The ITV-F1 website has exactly that (and i presume did when she still worked there) |

The only reason she was ever employed on ITV-F1 is simply because she was easier on the eyes than ol' Jim. I found it funny she complained about the 'pit babes' sections when she happily takes FHM's money...
She certainly put a lot of noses of joint (both professional and fan) with her book and interviews. |

It's ironic that she got the job because she WAS a babe, and was otherwise unqualified. Hmmm, that puts me in never ending conceptual loop!! Brain ache is coming on.

Beverley Turn-on. Non-famous, yet beautiful presenter of some slot on F1.
Don't you remember her epic coverage of the Milan shopping arcades before the Monza race one year? |

Am i the only not affended by this book?
All it really says is that F1 is run by bigoted old men, which is something i hope we all know about anyway. I quite like that fact that she has a dig at the trully terrible F1 (Bernie) Magazine (rag). As for her terrible ITV reports, do people not realise that she was forced to make them. I doubt she would have wanted to be portayed as girly as she did on the screen. |
