Alonso for me. The perfect race.
Monstered Massa immediately, then avoided the spinning buffoon whilst already committed to the turn. Saved his tyres and fuel in the first stint and judged it perfectly, despite bad traffic and no blue flags to pip schuey, edging him perfectly out with no contact. Controled pace to the finish. has anyone ever really done that to schuey before? taken away a race he started from pole and led most of? Rosberg did impress, but he was lucky it was only his nose and not his suspension. If he had retired after the very first corner evryone would have been saying williams made a mistake hiring him. I was more impressed with the cossie to be honest. |

Alonso was flawless I agree.
It's an interesting point on Rosberg...normally I don't vote for guys who make an error during the race (hence my no-vote for Kimi's supposedly "peerless" race at Monza last year). But fastest lap in your first F1 race? And a points finish after such a fraught start to his debut? Impressive. |

Didn't read all 5 pages of the thread, so apologize if this view has been expressed before, but...
I gave it to Kimi. Wanted to give it to Nico, but since he was at least partially at fault for the loss of his front wing, I went with Kimi who was on nearly the same barnburning pace but was able to keep it clean the whole time... |

And if any one wishes to challenge that, please be aware I am now disabled after being hit by an F1 Lotus at 140mph which took my leg off above the knee. NO VOLUNTEER should ever be expected to sacrifice their life for a car. Steve T. (for those not aware, I was the finish marshal at the 2000 Goodwood Festival of Speed that survived the fatal accident that took the life of a driver and an experienced marshal). |

I know I've said it before, but if you go somewhere where there are no experienced marshals, then you can't expect the marshals to behave like experienced marshals. If that was your sixth day (assuming he did last year's event), you're on your own and you've got F1 screaming by, would you venture out? Personally the guy gets my sympathy for being put in that position and it's totally unfair to throw criticism at him.

I voted for Rosberg but as far as Klein for outshining DC, I think DC had a problem with his car, no? I like Klein and I think he will do well and will beat DC many times but I am not sure this is one on merit.

He also removed the steering wheel so that was possibly the reason for the conversation.
