Tim Wilkinson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
O/T, but vaguely relevant as it would mean I could get out in DTRC at some point this year..... does anyone know of somewhere around the essex area where I could store a trailer (and race car, when it comes back)?

I've just lost the garage space I was renting (it wasn't ideal anyway) and am having trouble finding a replacement. All help and suggestions, contacts etc gratefully received!

This is also off topic but in a week and a half, on the 26th July to be precise, I will be moving house and so the address that is on the Lydden entry forms will no longer be relevant. Details should be going out in Brief Torque when it comes out, I will have some copies of my address at this meeting (22nd/23rd July) and you can pm if you wish to know it. I will be speaking to the Post Office to try and get my post forwarded but please be aware that from now on it will be better to use my new address.

Please can you make sure that this is circulated to everyone!

Thank you!

I moved a couple of weeks ago (couple of days before Castle Combe) Post Office charge £36 to have mail re-directed for 12 months- but give them a bit of notice.
Off subject, but on the subject of moving, new place has anarrower drive,so i've just ordered a lodeck PRG beavertail ( that's next years budget ******) so if anyone wants to buy a 4 wheel Brian James clubman that I've had from new, please feel free to send me an instant message - should be available sometime towards the end of August - can be viewed at the DTRC round at Brands on 23rd

Alan you could try e bay just like andy wickens trying to sell his escort was going to make a offer but his starting price of 3,500 is a bit more than my 50 scrap offer is. still 1 hour to go and no offers { by the way thats without a engine}

Aaah...yes the no engine thing would be my fault...

I said that Andy shouldn't run with "For Sale" on his car as the last car i'd seen do that crashed...later on in the day the engine decided to eat itself leaving a gaping hole in the side...needless to say I wasn't popular!!

Al, Thanks for that - I've had a message from one of the DTRC runners making enquiries - If it doesn't suit, I'll certainly put it on the CTCC site
- Thanks for the info

TeeJ: look at my website(www.flatoutfarr.co.uk) and talk to George Newton. There may be a deal to be had. Would Upminster suit you???

Upminster would have been great, unfortunately George has no space at the moment. Thanks for the thought, tho. It seems as tho all the car preparers are busy at the moment, even my regular guys haven't got space.

See you there Eddy. Camera batteries now fully charged and ready to roll. Have a good journey over!

All you DTRC boys, play nice! But if you don't, do it in front of me so I can snap it...

there isn't any protection of championship leaders going on, but i would be unfair if drivers who have consistantly supported the championship couldn't get to race due to grid slots going to drivers who just wanted to cherry pick an occasional race, especially if said driver had never raced with us before.

its about time that everyone woke up and stopped trying to enter at the last minute, if a meeting becomes full weeks before entries close and entries are still pilling in then at certain venues there is a chance of a split grid.
To who are you referring as one who has never raced with you before or was it just a general comment ?

If its a good named make I suggest putting it on ebay, the prices they are fetching are mental !!!! I was searching for ages to get one at a sensible price.

I think Graham was meaning in general to anyone wanting to enter one of our races not specfically to those who have entered before.

What happened to the boy Watkins? Did he leave his handbrake on? Or was he running with a standard 1100cc (valencia) engine?

Congrats to Rod for 2 more wins, looks like Messrs Oates and Rose kept him fairly honest!!

Hope to have my (pieces of) engine back this week.... ready to run it in at Donington for the August meeting!!

Rob.

Graham blew a head gasket, Watkins had any intermittent engine fault. All the reserves got at least one race, most got two. It was very hot, which took its toll. Kris Waite had an off in race one, then something blew in race two. David Oates and Greg Rose drove really well, Greg got driver of the meeting award. Unfortunately John Cross and Peter Wilkinson had a major accident in race two, both cars were badly damaged, which was a great shame. The battles throughout the field were fantastic, 32 cars makes Brands look very small!!

Thanks Rod shame I never came but unfortunately I committed to other things, I recon I may have even been on the pace especially wilth the huge new alloy rad keeping things nice and cool now.

Thats the trouble with turbos I guess, gobs of power but do seem fragile, we had a guy (Alan ZIni) with a mega Colt Turbo out in modprods years ago, when it went it was awesome but spent more time on the trailer than on the track so was never a real contender. Bloody shame to hear about John and Peter's clash, both nice cars I hope they can get them sorted.

Both drivers say they will be back. John has a "spare" Mercedes V8 almost ready to go, and Peter will be after a new front wing and passenger door today. Hope to see you on the 19th August Al.
