stradlin21 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
it now back as 'Wheels' on the same number and is working fine for me

they've just done a feature on the rookies in NASCAR this season

During Five's football coverage yesterday evening, the Daytona 500 was advertised and the commentator claimed that the coverage would be "live". However, the above link suggests this is not the case! I have just been looking at the five website and found they have a forum on there. It looks to be read by and posted to by a real life five employee so I have posted a question and thanked them for the coverage. It may or may not help but it certainly wouldn't harm if anyone who wants to see coverage goes there and registers their interest also. The thread that you want is, rather unoriginally, called Nascar so click that link and register!

Digging a bit deeper, found this page which contains an email link. I would recommend anyone with an interest post their support for five's Nascar coverage in the link above AND email them too... it really can't harm.

Still had it as of 9 ish last night - channel number was posted few pages back, can't remember off top of my head - can you search for that? Wheels is a combination of channels ie may not be featured in the same wasy as ESPN or ESP2, not sure on that one.

For those of us that haven't subscribed to NASN, good news (sorry to those that have spent their money ) NASCAR is to be shown on Channel 5 (at least the Daytona 500 is) at 12.10 Sunday night/Monday morning http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/56765

That was damn good coverage on there too! Good quality pictures and sound and there were no buffering pauses throughout the whole of the coverage I saw... Admittedly it's not the same as watching it on a 40" plasma, but it's easily the best live online coverage of a sporting event I've ever seen.

Yes, it was very impressive stuff! I've more or less seen everything from Daytona thanks to various sources, so that is pleasing although I still await a live TV deal!

The NASCAR link worked well and was great actually being able to see it as it happened - and the lack of buffering was good too

OK, after 40 minutes of a black screen and commentary reminiscent of a Norman Collier remix, pooter crashed. Think it's not for us technologically challenged. So Plan B - Channel 5 on video to watch early tomorrow...at least I can fast forward the yellows...
