thebullet has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It's like the World Rally Championship, ITV Coverage ok, Channel 4 Coverage Brilliant and now shoved onto ITV4 why? No offense to people who like football but they always show football on the main 5 channels so why not motoracing. Just becuase it's not as popular dosen't mean we can shove it of the tv. I think the only main motorsport they do show is F1 on ITV but then again how long for?

ITV is committed to motorsport!

So they then list their categories they cover (same as last season) but fail to mention that most have been bumped onto ITV 300 or something!

They are just terrestrial morons.

I think I'll give BTCC a miss for this year then. I give enough of my income to Sky already without giving them any more....

Setanta isn't Sky so you aren't giving them any money. After the Virgin/Sky bust-up the word is that Virgin will be pushing Setanta as a replacement for Sky Sports.

That's no surprise when you consider what will be on Setanta by 2009.

OK - I'll rephrase - I currently spend just over £30 a month on TV programmes already - excluding the cost of a TV licence. I don't want to see BTCC enough to pay any more!

Did not think it was that bad. They covered all three races in 90mins.No doubt the support races will turn up on 'Motorsport Mondial' or some such and I don't seem to have much interest in them at the moment anyway-no sign of the promised Jodie Hemming?

No adverts as such, all trailers for other ITV shows, but we still got an ad break.

ITV can time the shortest of breaks into a missed restart. They are very adept at it!

I was referring to the ITV1 dead-of-night highlights rather than ITV3's live coverage.

Overall the show was better than I was expecting, although the logo flashing up between every lap of the race 2 highlights was very annoying.

Ye i supose that the adverts do take up most of the program. So no adverts will make it quicker.

Well that seems like quite a reasonable length for highlights of a 20-odd minute race...

But they could've fit the whole races in, rather than chatting about nothing.

Oh well... I should have Setanta soon.

Exactly, you could just buy the Season review on Video/DVD at the end of the year and watch it all over and over again - no adverts in that.

And does anyone else long for the days when BTCC was on BBC? Imagine how good that would be today if they had BTCC and WTCC with the coverage like it was in the late 90's with Charlie Cox and John Watson commentating.

Yes I can imagine, shuffled around the schedules, cut from 1 hr to 30 mins when there was a tennis match over-running... Great!

Almost, I'd prefer the Charlie/Murray partnership again - possibly the best ever in motorsport.

BBC coverage was great, the best terrestrial package! But it was always rather obscure sadly.

It was probably helped by there being one less race too.
