For what it's worth, Kym Illman (F1 photographer) is predicting the following for 2025... Daniel to replace Sergio, Liam to replace Daniel and Valtteri to retain his Sauber seat.
Who knows what is going to happen Richard |

I actually think he will go 0/3 with those predictions

I do agree he is way out on a limb with his predictions. Particularly with Daniel to replace Sergio. But who knows what is going on in the minds at RB with respect to RBR and VCARB. I have no opinion regarding Audi. I think they could save money and put monkeys in those cars and it may not make much difference.

Well, at least we don't have someone here now constantly interjecting from personal (but totally uncorroborated) knowledge that the Red Bull is now the slowest GP car ever....

I hope dan doest go to red bull.
I was a daniel fan, and I guess i still am. But I think its time for him to put up his hand and say "Time to do something different". At his best he is brilliant, but these days he is more often than not, far from it. I think his star has faded. And a good performer should know when to quit. F1 is about 20 drivers trying to be WDC. I think Dans chances of that passed 5 years or more ago. Today he is a good midfielder, but not a killer. I would rather see new young guns get a go (and surprise - or fail) than the same old good midfielders year after year. He is not the only one... There are a lot of drivers who deserve a chance, and a few (not just dan) who maybe should be looking at WEC, Fe, USA, or tin tops somewhere. Bathurst is calling you Dan |

One of my takeaways of this weekend is that we can see from the good job that Colapinto and Bearman did that there are a few longstanding F1 drivers that could be replaced fairly easily with new talent, and they would not be missed too much.
Even if people think that Ricciardo deserves to be in F1 still, surely what is clear to everyone is that Ricciardo does not deserve to have one of the best F1 seats on the grid. |

At this point, I am think there is just so much fatigue around Red Bull driver rumors that its hard to care about any of the speculation. For example you can play the game of... Oh, Ricciardo is replacing Sergio! Or maybe he is not, but it's just variations on rumors that have been going on for months with nothing happening. Richard |

There are so many posts, compilations, video cuts of Mr Ricciardo across the socials.
Not all are Aussies And truly it’s like the fella has passed away! Yet so many reckon his treatment by the Red Bull machine has been entirely inappropriate and borderline disrespect and damaging. The golden rule is that those with the gold make the rules. Dr Marko has spoken and it’s over. That Mr Ricciardo had no family or girlfriend at the circuit probably let him leave on his own terms, in his own way. Even in the airport to go home to Perth, was still rocking a Red Bull hat. Hard to imagine what the Sky commentators will inject into every second sentence now ‘this is Danny’s last race’ is removed from their vocabulary. Vale Daniel Ricciardo the F1 fella See you at your next venture in the world |

Is it officially confirmed he is out or is it still the expectation being aired over the weekend. I couldnt see anything actually confirming it.

Yeah, I mentioned maybe in the race thread his body language post race was very much 'I know something you guys dont and its not good'.
If it is as expected I wish him all the best in whatever he pursues and hopefully we will see him in a Bathurst wildcard in 2025 |

Yeah - saddens me if it all ends up being true. As Max said, Dani deserves to be in F1 & there are others who don't deserve to be there.

There are plenty worse in the field with a worse record than Danny Ric. And drivers who do not deserve to be in F1. Hard agree. However, media assasination? He's a media darling. Everyone talks about how much the Sky commentators love the British drivers, but they spend as much time interviewing Daniel every weekend as they do the championship contenders. No other back marker driver gets even a tenth of the attention that Daniel does. He gets much more positive camera time than Yuki does - and more than the others in the championship below him combined. |

Of the people I've known who have worked in, around or with F1 there's not been a single one with a bad word to say about him. |

Nice bloke, had a good innings. Time to move on..
He said it pretty much on Sunday. Will we see him in F1 again? Maybe as a supersub but not full time.. Is he an endurance racing type of driver, would a factory hypercar drive be appealing to him, like Aston Martin?? |

if DR is out which presumably means he will not be an option for next season, does the knock on effect mean RBR are locking themselves in with Perez for next season?

I don't think Yuki is particularly amazing, but in less than 18 months he ended the F1 careers of De Vries and Riccardo. I'm not sure what else he needs to do to get a shot at the seat that RBR want Perez out of. |

I honestly see RB ditching Yuki at the earliest opportunity post 2025 (once Honda is no longer a RB partner). Not that I agree with that logic. I think Red Bull makes weird driver decisions. Richard |

how about Max and Yuki at Aston Martin in 2026. Yuki is Honda's current F1 choice and AM will be using Honda Engines in 2026
