The brake wouldn't be hot because it was cooled on the straights? It seems it's an mgu issue actually.

I remember someone explaining the energy recovery sytem and specifically it's layout could generate brakesytem overheating issues.

The #9 passed the #1 in the pits, so now it's minutes behind instead of a whole lap from second place.

If your energy recovery system isn't working properly then you'll work the brake disc too hard, and it'll very quickly destroy it in one way or another. But this is the motor unit, so more about power deployment. Its all packaged together though.

Nah man I love that. It's so so cool. I'd have them do the whole pit lane on electric power and fire on the exit line. Don't like the new 1km regs but I love the electric take off.

Assuming the 8 loses the same time as the 2, both cars have enough time to recover to ahead of the P2 cars. That might be important by the end of this race.
