Statistically it's very much true, since 2006 full factory comeback / diesel intro

2006 - 2x against 2x sort-of-opposing-Pescas 0-50% threat
2007 - 3x against 2x Pug 40% threat
2008 - 3x against 3x Pug 50% threat
2009 - 3x against 3x Pug + privateer Pesca-Pug (petrol-AMR no match) 57% threat
2010 - 3x against 3x Pug + privateer Oreca-Pug (petrol-AMR no match) 57% threat
2011 - 3x against 3x Pug + privateer Oreca-Pug (petrol-AMR no match) 57% threat
2012 - 4x against 2x TMG 33% threat

Okay so Oak & SARD have both officially denied racing in P1 next year, as has the initially-DSC-rumored KCMG, so now the only real missing bit of mystery is if the Kodewa-Lotus-CLM(s) continue to appear on the grid. If they show up with one again, it's a 14 car entry (bigger than 2012/13/14) and with 11 full works cars the most impressive since 1999 on that front

Maybe if we were talking of someone else than team run by CK the confidence would be higher... and even if it was organized by Dr Ullrich you'd wonder how they're gonna modify that slow, overweight car for next year

Let‘s hope that the three Nissan will be ready for Le Mans. We haven't seen a battle beetween for great brands in the prototypes class for a while now (1999 ).

Just won the bid on eBay for my first of the devilish threesome amongst the Le Mans annuals (1983, 1985 and 1986). Seems nothing more than appropriate the total amount to be paid including postage is a third of 666 euros

It already arrived today! The book is in excellent nick. Very glad I put out a sneaky bid, as I usually do on these annuals. But normally they go for a lot more than the price I paid for it, or am willing to pay for it. Perhaps other potential buyers were put off because of the 'lowish' feedback rating (93,5%) of the seller. Well, their loss is my gain!

Now to brush up on my French

Because of the union-ridden postal services in Belgium, mail doesn't get delivered here on saturdays, so I expected it would arrive today. And so it did. Happy days.

IMX, used by the ACO for their mailing, is a logistics service, with departments in several European countries. For Belgium and the Netherlands the return address is apparently located in Charleroi. I suspect the return address for the UK is in Chessington, Surrey? Can anyone confirm? Or not?
