Win in a Honda, Mazda or Nissan and they'll help you run in WC touring car race of your choice next year. Free tires from Pirelli, WC Vision kicking in the entry fee, and they'll get the electronics needed to run if their car is eligible and could move to an eligible car of the same manufacturer.

Obviously it could be the new car, but considering that it is listed as an "SLS", coupled with all the shenanigans that have gone on with the team all year, I doubt it will be! Hope I'm wrong though, as it would be nice to see it have its North American debut at this event.

For what its worth, another data point is that Jonathan Summerton put a post on his Twitter today saying he was looking forward to racing the new AMG GT at Laguna with DIME. Haven't seen anything reported elsewhere or from DIME itself.

I spoke to Jonathan last night. It's supposed to be the new AMG GT3, but we'll see. Either way it's great to have him in a car.

Also, those entry lists are so jacked up when first released, you can't always look at what car is listed

The SprintX section is unreadable to begin with, but also has the DXDT cars in GTCup, whereas the accompanying story says GT.

But then SprintX entry lists have been fairly fictional thus far anyway, so I guess there's no reason to change it now.

And James Sofronas is entered in the GTS Class race with it next week at Laguna Seca!

Also GTS is now up to 23 cars with the addition of the Stephen Cameron Racing Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 driven by Aristotle Balogh, who is also partnered in the SprintX race with Greg Liefooghe in the same car.

And the 20th entry for SprintX is the Performance Motorsports Group Ginetta GT4 for Parker Chase and Henry Gottsacker.

Cooper, Davison, Eversley, Fogarty, Heitkotter, Fong, Lewis etc? I would say since the Long Beach round last year, the standard of driving has vastly improved!

Further updates to the Laguna Seca entry list:

GT Cup #77 Preston Calvert is no longer listed.

GTS #37 Andrew Aquilante is entered in a Calvert Dynamics Ford Mustang Boss 302.

Sprint/X #37 Andrew Aquilante and Kurt Rezzetano, are entered in the same Ford Mustang.

Sprint/X #80 Dan Knox/Mike Skeen are entered in a Lone Star Racing Dodge Viper GT3-R.
