Ah, my traditional "hmm, shall I do the N24 this year", watching VLN1 and going straight to research the best way to get there.

Just as traditional as Porsche winning VLN1 and then getting pegged back behind all the sandbagging Audis and Mercs for May.

So do I (aside from my being a Porsche nut). I can only hope that the DMSB will wise up and tell the other manufacturers where to go when the inevitable BoP whinging starts.

The most important question is though, if the 911 is Grello, what do we call the 912 with the colour scheme reversed?

Some people play the sandbag game and then some choose not to play at all

Thank you. I fell asleep two laps in. Race started after 9pm here and it’d been a long day

MaskedRacer User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
Prefer they just focus on the GT3 cars. Don't really care for the group 2 and group 3 starts. Guess that won't ever change though. Watching these Nurburgring races does have its challenges. Won't give up on it though. I guess VLN 2 and the 6 hour race are still to come before the 24 hours at the end of May?

I think next time I'll keep an entry list file on me. Probably will help telling who is who. I think there was a Lexus in the field yes?

In SP-PRO. It was a Lexus LC 500.

Yes. I wouldn't want them to do it any other way, even if it means getting ****ed over come N24.

Here's my race report: https://www.gt-report.com/2018/03/27...opping-grello/

And there are also some other VLN1 stuff on the website like an interview with Laurens Vanthoor ("It's never boring at the Nordschleife, but..." and him not caring about BoP games "I drove as I always do, the rest is ‘above my paygrade’") and Matias Henkola talking about the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 he'll race this year.

Yelleen.

But in all seriousness, they don't have a name for it (yet?).

It's still green and yellow, so just call it a Reverse-Grello.

VLN has too many classes. Looks like the Uruguayan Rally Championship.

VLN has exactly the right amount of classes so that everyone with a 500.000 euro budget to a rag-tag team running their self-built VW Corrado can race. Just as intended.

Here are my VLN1 photos: https://www.gt-report.com/2018/04/01...-grello-pt-ii/

Classes galore is what makes VLN.

People out there who only care about SP9 etc for the GT3 cars are missing out on the true spirit of the championship

I never said to allow +400hp cars only. I said that the grid is spread too thin in too many classes.

VLN is for the competitors, similar to Creventic. It isn't ideally setup for great competition in the lower classes due to the numbers, but it is setup to be extremely accessible. In that regard, it's perfect right now.

If I were an amateur driver, I'd rather enter a 16-car class than a 7-car class.

Not if the 16 car class was double the budget That's where VLN is good. It has something for everyone. It's built for the competitors, not the spectators.
