So, this is what my lad has been working on for the last couple of years.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_oumIs6K74 It is him who ushers Henry out onto the track for his first run in Bahrain and welcomes him back in again..... Some people get all the rough jobs..... |

That's great news Ayse, I'm glad he's been working on such a cutting-edge, high-profile project, especially following his time at Algarve.
I'm still not fully sold on the Valkyrie, but I wish it the best of success. |

It's a fabulous machine, but as I've told Toby (time and time again), it should be out there racing. Until then, it's just a technical exercise. A version of this car should be competing in Hypercar.

What a car that was, shame it didn't achieve much. Bit unlucky with what happened in practice there

yes , but probably would have failed to finish as pretty much nearly all Cosworth powered cars failed during those years
it was also entered in the Fuji 1000 Km WSC race at the end of year and it suffered the exact same issue, crashed in practice Last edited by porsche962fan; 14 Mar 2023 at 18:10. |

It’s amazing what he did with that car. I think no one expected it to go that fast

That's the 1100HP lap, right? Wastegate malfunction I think it was?
Now remind yourself that at its pomp, LMP2 lapped faster than this. he refinement in chassis/suspension/tyres to match the pace of these beasts is staggering. |

True, that will account for a lot of the lap time reduction.
Looking at it the other way, the older cars are matching really quick laps currently with far less advanced technology, both car and track. |

1988 suzuka JSPC
some nice onboards here while the Porsche 962C was outdated in the WSC (thanks to TWR Jaguar and Sauber Mercedes) , in japan they were still competitive this year and 1989, after that Nissan took over dominance until its demise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAxhzGPESDk Last edited by porsche962fan; 18 Mar 2023 at 18:59. |

1998 Minnenapolis from USRRC in 1998. Dyson WSC Riley and Scott vs the Panoz GTR1 vs Porsche GT1. Loved these interclass races which has not happened much over the years. Perhaps LMP2 vs DP in the mid 2010s in IMSA compares. |
