Guess so.
Anyway, S2 shuold be made mostly by mistrail. Toyotas best S2 are 23.2 and 24.0 while privates lmp1 are between 24.9 - 25.6.... is too early for top speed bulettins, but it seems acceleration beats top speed |

Going by sector times, they're about 2.5 seconds faster through S1 and 1-1.5 through S2. The sector line is in the slow section that was modified for the GP (and yes, S2 sector line is at the end of Mistral).

That is some performance gain on the Toyota side, didn't expect that in the first few laps, times for the first session in 2016 were in the 1:40 range and best over the whole weekend was 1:37.445.
Were there any changes to the track? |

Early days, but the gap between Toyota and the privateers is massive.

Dragonspeed #10 is quick out of the box.
3rd of the privateers after only turning 10 laps. Mind you, the Rebellion is closer to the fastest privateer than the fastest privateer is to the fastest Toyota. Very impressive for a shakedown! |

Toyota very fast out of the box and a lot of laps too. They are (as you would expect) very well prepared.

It's very interesting to see all the P1 non-hybrid cars so close. Toyota is in another level as we all expected.
The P2 cars are just 1 second behind the P1 cars, so I expect improvement of the times as they need more testing. Last edited by Damian Baldi; 6 Apr 2018 at 13:11. |

Perhaps the closeness of the times between the privateer cars means they will need additional EoT breaks to be competitive with Toyota. We will see.
One Toyota already did 161 laps though, while most privateers have done around 60. It is really early days, but they're all ahead of the well established and rather speedy P2 cars. |

And it is the high downforce Toyota #8 which is fastest.
Edit: It has just posted a 1.32.662... |

And the high downforce car is essentially carried over from last year. They are only homologating the new high downforce bodywork after LM.

won't be surprised if the high downforce package who just marked 1.32 was even barely able to hit 300km/h as top speed vs. private lmp1 >330km/h.
farewell wec, I had some good time in late four season. |
