Let's hope they hit their targets. Don't need this rumbling on throughout the season.

LOL Ford teams have been told in no uncertain terms. Dont moan about the Camaro or we will give it more downforce.

Apparently a change to the aero balance of the Camaro, not more total, and apparently out of the change Ford are very happy. |

Same as always I imagine - results themselves usually don't trigger changes but technical parity issues do. So, if differences in results from one make of car to another are attributed to technical parity variances, then changes may well be made.

Hopefully they get the technical parity right! It's a shame there isn't a more robust and indisputable process for determining this. |

I think things will still be competitive amongst the big teams. No one should be able to dominate

Let’s see how they all go on Friday!
I notice each team seems to be out & about hitting g up their local Newcastle promotional opportunity. Some brought their cars, others just brought their teams Let’s see how mixed up the grid will be.. and the challenges in racing. It’s nearly GO time. Let’s GO!! |

No, theoretically at the beginning at least the differences between teams should be smaller and even mid-pack teams should have a chance of great results, that's what tends to happen with a new ruleset in place. But honestly saying, I won't be at all surprised if SVG and 888 dominate this season as brutally as in last two years. |

May well be possible to knock them off, but that will reduce downforce at the front, but only by 5 kilos or something, it's very slight.

There has long been a view that being one of the teams in the game gives access to a lot of exclusive information and VCAT test results are part of that. |

https://www.v8sleuth.com.au/the-gods...-parity-truce/ Gee: what would produce more repeatable results? Maybe a climate-controlled wind tunnel? Hopefully the teams are happy but it doesn't really mesh with how the Mustangs seem to be sliding around more, pending whether they perform more consistently in the race. Personally I think it would be a good idea to make up the raised rear wing brackets for the Mustang anyway, and trial them on some of the Mustangs during Albert Park free practice to get back-to-back data comparison with other Mustangs running the lower mounts. It might still be within the downforce tolerances that Supercars' accept (apparently 2-3% x 170kg) and give similar laptimes, but give the Mustangs a nicer balance and tyre life more comparable to the Camaros? |

I was hoping that Gen 3 would provide a genuine race between the two makes of vehicle, early days yet but I've got my doubts that this will happen.
The category needs success ballast to provide some entertainment. |

Look, I do hear you re wind tunnels but there ARE a few problems with considering a wind tunnel to be a good method for Supercars:

Mustangs on the front row for race 2, can they hang in there for a win or will T8 run them down again?
