Stellar work from DSC on the state of affairs for Hypercar and GTD at the moment. Some seemingly promising programmes appear to be DOA - but also some intriguing movements elsewhere. So it kinda evens out. Fourth part drops tomorrow.

Wow, they rightly savaged Aston Martin there.

It stands to reason, that I posted at the beginning of this 'convergence', with rules that not only make sense but are cost effective, a lot of folks would either be interested, involved, or just checking it out.
The real test to all of this is not Porsche, Ferrari, Cadillac, or even Toyota. It's Isotta Faschini. For if their Tipo 6 can not only.run, but can compete with the "big boys", watch all those that were "sitting on the fence" choose to be a part. |

I hope you are correct, but with that same reasoning, wouldn't last years podium for Glickenhaus have the same effect?

Wow, those are handy articles, and some fascinating bits of info: Entop? ByKolles was trying to have the Tyrrell brand name before the switch to Vanwall.

I think the reason Glickenhaus' performance wasn't more of a catalyst is because the current crop of running or incoming participants made their decisions before or at the start of the hypercar era, and any future participants are probably in a wait and see mode as to how easy/hard it is to win and get those sweet sweet marketing opportunities in the more crowded field.

It looks great and sounds great. From the pitlane videos it sounds so similar to a current F1 car.

30 laps without a hitch, now that's a great start.
For tomorrow's session, take it up to 60 and add in a couple of pit stops to get the team acquainted with the car. Tires, refueling, the whole deal. |

Good on them. Nice little sub-class forming with Isotta, Glickenhaus, Vanwall and Peugeot.

That’s not really right for Peugeot though, is it? Although with more testing, a wing and a prayer Peugeot might manage to get themselves up into that class.

Add little prayerlet devices to the wing as long as they stay within the drag:downforce ratios within the rules.

Peugeot need Toyota's cheater moving wing, they'd be unstoppable.

Okay, second test day for Isotta Fraschini. Let's see what develops.

I wonder if this would be OK now. As long as the aero stayed within the drag:downforce isthmus needed for homologation? |
