The usual story from Newsham. He's in, but doesn't have the full budget.

UA are finished in BTCC , cars are going south of the Thames
Rotek are out of BTCC , car will apear in different team Plato is going to BMR with a handful of Ex 888 and WSR staff Team Hard will be on the grid with at least 2 cars, 6 by seasons end 888 will be down to 2 cars and 1 will be very slow 1 MG will appear in private team non 888 Colin in at WSR Dynamics will revert back to normal Civic , Type R doesnt bring any advantage to NGTC regs it will just be a badging job. Rob austin Audi will sport armour plates, thats his new look Nigel Mansell will make a guest apeearance with Tim Harvey, John Cleland and Steve Soper. Just a wild guess of course , isnt that what silly season is about |

Collard at WSR and Goff alongside Plato at BMR.
Turks to turn up with a BMW GT programme, possibly British GT which would be a huge boost. And I do feel Colin could go on to take a works drivers role in a GT squad to be honest. |

I'm thinking Newsham in an Avensis run by team HARD, mainly due to the two parties both saying they had plans for next year on the same day last week, might well add up

I'd say that's a shout, could be HARD's plan B after the Volvo project failed to materialise. Alongside Gilham in the ex-Rotek S3?

Well now that Lea Wood has announced he won't be driving, but his Houseman team will be running, my money is on Dave Newsham to be in the car.
We know Dave struggles for budget, and is openly asking for sponsors, and we also know that Houseman managed to run their Avensis for Lea on one of the smaller budgets last year. So, kinda makes sense in my head... |

From what I've been told, Gilham had planned to buy the Rotek S3. However, there was a stumbling block with the deal, so he purchased one of the ex-UA Toyotas (with TBL) instead. |

It would be good to see as a spectical, but I doubt the racing would be great due to lack of overtaking oppertunities. |

Could the CTCC cars race against BTCC? That would surely help the grid size.

I may be being pedantic here, but I wouldn't regard Gilham as confirmed until TOCA have ratified the transfer of the TBL from UA to HARD - the whole thing is subject to their approval.

Gow promising news and some surprises in the next few weeks.
But can they make up for the lack of a defending champion? |
