That it will be dressing up as a poor imitation of the LM55 does sound on the money, but with those fenders I have to say what could go wrong
http://www.doubledeclutch.com/?attachment_id=5895 Might end up being the most important car in the class because everything will have to be BoP'd down to it. |

Indeed it is, but does it seem like the nose sticks out in front of the headlights quite a bit? Maybe it isn't as bad as the angle looks, and I'm sure the diffuser will tie it all together.
Really excited to see this not just because it's the first DPi, but it is also the first viewing of the Riley chassis - altered as it may be. |

Honestly, I'm seeing more than a bit of this year's R18 in there, with the apparent winglets and protruding high nose.
Edit - John Doonham (Dunhamm?) is on MWM right now. Last edited by J Jay; 16 Nov 2016 at 20:03. |

Of course, that doesn't mean it will look any better, but we'll just have to wait and see. |

If it looks like the Furia it'll be the best looking prototype ever. But the man who designed that and the current mans range is now working for Tesla I think. Hope he had some good junior staff!

So we know it will be called the RT24P, and that it will first test (in the next two weeks) with Riley's WEC bodywork and the 2.0L turbo before the DPi body goes back on for the public tests in December.

Looks like Mazda's auto show personnel have been learning from the SpeedSource crew...
