I have serious doubts but at the same time I have no doubts at all. This team has been eating itself and collapsing for over a decade now, but it refuses to die. They also have the incredible ability to play the ACO every single year and still keep them just about sweet enough to let them have another crack of the whip.
I'm very confident I will see this new hyper car barbecuing itself twenty minutes into the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours. |

Well they keep trying and you have to admire that, i am sure we all wish them the best and even the harshest critic must have a bit of them that hows they do well.

If the new chassis materializes, it'll be about the only interesting car on the grid for me next anyways. All the rest are standardized and/or butchered beyond salvation. And yes while this thing would effectively also be competing in a joke of a class imitating World Wresting Entertainment, at least the weird decisions of ByKolles, as well as the Minardi esque underdog quality in it, makes following the "progress" of the team itself interesting. So go Dr Kolles. Let's embrace the weirdness, it's all we have left. Even if the thing explodes 60 seconds in race it'll still probably be worth seeing to see how and why it did so, in it's uniqueness.
Before that we also (maybe/probably) have Le Mans 2020 with the old Frankenstein CLM but at least there are still 6 other interesting cars in it too. Last edited by Deleted; 19 May 2020 at 17:19. |

It will be interesting to see how it works. Other cars, but tough opposition at the moment. But it has a chance. Kolles does at least know what he is doing. It will be tough, so who knows what result they will get. I just hope they get some decent result, they have done hard work, are still here, and who knows what the future will hold. Let’s see the boys’ hard work paid off

IMO Peugeot would be foolish in choosing the more expensive route if they can get away with it via spec car and spec hybrid system. This is not the old world anymore |

So,
ByKolles is on pole for Le Mans 24 Hours (Hopefully, if they make a press release out of this they leave out the bit where it says it's a mere Virtual race with Oreca-only entries and SIM racers putting out the times, as it'd be way funnier this way ) |

How accurate is the simulation though? Too accurate and we'll see a fire again and a P2 winner.

I guess if after all these seasons they are apparently finally happy with the car, it would be probable that they'd continue for one more year with it. It should also be easier to make this car slower, to align with Hyperwagons, than the effort they've been putting in making it faster... |

I like the team and love their years long spirit of continuously updating chassis despite non-results, and resisting spec galores offered in other classes as well as never ever moaning about lack of bop. But I also can't resist making fun of their... extraordinariness... :P

Yes, I agree. A proper little racing team that doesn't know when to quit. Old school.

It's the Minardi story.
Teams like RSR Jaguar were just embarrassing failures on the other hand... there's a thin line between charming(ly symphatetic), and plain awful |

Maybe Kolles should spend less time worrying about the Racing Point brake ducts

It's not really an endurance race if everyone has the same cars made from the same parts. More power to 'em for livening things up.

Yes and even back when they rebranded their entry as 'Lotus', which had zero Lotus in it, they at the very least did it on their own unique chassis, and not on a spec Oreca identical to other spec Orecas
