I wonder if this has anything to do with Honda's slow movement on the WEC front?

They do but that only involves IMSA (and Indycar). A possible WEC campaign requires official approval and - presumably - additional backing from Japan.
Honda's 2026 official F1 involvement has been known for a while so I doubt it makes any kind of difference to the WEC prospects. |

Interesting, the next SRO GT1 Sports Club meeting will feature an Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 Pista.

Alpine to reveal their Hypercar at Le Mans. Apparently it will run a 3.4 litre, Mecachrome derived V6. If that's the same engine Ginetta used in LMP1, hopefully it has been improved.

The teaser image looks rather Cadillac to me. I'm not complaning.

Well if you think le mans 2023 has been rather popular, just think how many of our ffrench friends will be wanting to go next year with both renault and peugeot in the top class.

A trackday is exactly what it is. I'm sure it's a nice little earner.

They mention it's the V634 engine so yea, the same one. I'm pretty sure they had to improve it as during the LMP1 days it was pushing barely ~600 hp Unless they hope monster fuel tank and energy allocation is going to "fix" the problem.

Man, you just have to like what's going on. The new cars are getting their previews, and other manufacturers are looking to make their announcements.
It's all coming together, people... |

also like the name, Alpine A110 R Le Mans. Kind of reminds me of the Alpine Renault A442/B from the mid-70's.

Isn’t Acura/Honda in 2025 pretty dependent on how WRT Andretti develop - 2 cars for IMSA next year and also building up their UK? base takes time too?

The new facility for Andretti is for their F1 team mainly, Honda is still undecided about bringing the ARX- 06 over to WEC, even as WTR-Andretti are going with a 2-car team for '24. |

The BoP is modified before LM (not the BoP platform, the BoP itself)

Confirmed only Hypercar and GT3LM in WEC from 2024, however LMP2 will run at Le Mans with 15 cars from ELMS, IMSA and Asia Le Man Series.
LMP2 will remain the top class in ELMS and Asia Le Mans Series. https://www.dailysportscar.com/2023/...-for-2024.html |

It's good they are keeping the LMP2 for LM, there would be a big gap without them. Can understand why they are getting rid of them for the rest of the main series. They organisers are now more focused on the Hypercar element now

The GT3 thing is interesting it good that they have come out and said that they will not refuse the manufacturers involved in Hypercar.
So hopefully we will still see things like the Aston's, Mustang's, McLaren's and Merc's on the grid next year. It's just a shame that there will only be two cars's from each manufacture. |
