bluespur should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Model works for NASCAR because designed for oval circuits,

Leader as SC model works very well on road circuits, makes it a lot easier to manage for race officials and makes logical sense.

I dont think it does work well. It doesnt create the passing opportunities that are desired.

The AZ for next year will create overlap which will be great to watch

One thing for sure Engel needs to go home for Christmas and stay there....he was a real dissapointment all weekend given he knew the track.

Overall he has been a huge gamble that did not pay off....I'm sure Mostert is happy he missed out on that seat after all

They should have dumped him after the Gold Coast, in favour of Mr Johnson.

At least SP would've had something to crow about by way of solid results.

Expect of course the range of other categories, particularly in sports car & touring car racing that I believe use the zone approach.

The current model is awful. It's the same as the F1 model, which is REALLY awful. Yes, let's restart a good 3/4 km away from the home straight, wonderful.

Why does a safety car restart need to be an entertainment tool?

the whole purpose of Safety car is entertainment. If it was about racing there are better ways to do it.
The SC has a side benefit of Safety

I got the impression that the information was being given to v8 supercars to deal with. not sure how they deal with it though

I would imagine it is in there best interest to look after the affected parties. Bad press from unhappy spectators in the current sponsor climate might not be ideal to V8SC.

Disappointing that there was no update on James Courtney on the weekend's V8Extra episode

This was a wild race. Are all Phillip Island races like that? This had more action than the last 5-8 DTM races I have seen, combined.

I doubt it because from memory they were updating the championship positions post-PI. Perhaps Sunday evening? In any case there were several days between the updates on JC's condition before it aired. Anyone would think they were trying to downplay the extent of JC's injuries...
