Well if that is the case hopefully someone challenges it. However TEGA can still choose the buyer.

Maybe they can temporarily suspend licences and upon receivement of financial settlement and signature on deed of release they are 'reinstated'.

Your clearly articulated, well argued case suggests there is nothing wrong otherwise different action would have resulted.

So fomoco, are you suggesting Ford is derelict in not taking the matter further? FPR? Stone Bros? Mike Gore?

No, it is fomoco & all those blinded by brand allegiance. Its everyone else that should be taking action to obtain a result so desired by fomoco & his fellow ideologues.

Have you lodged your complaint with the ACCC - if not why not - go to www.accc.gov.au - if you so clearly articulate your claims, ho hum!!!

The Kelvinmonster was deadly clear in AA last week.

HRT were either in or out..nothing in the middle.

If there was a deal agreed to make this happen, which part of "in or out" does this fall under? Allegedly the TLA does not empower the express capacity to negotiate settlements... or get involved in anything other than is prescriptively written.

Which means someone like the Kelvinmonster should not have the capacity to "deal" this issue away. I would expect this from Mr Cochrane perhaps, whose job it is to fit square pegs into round holes, but not the TEGA board.

It has me wondering if anyone outside HRT, another L1/L2 franchise licence slot holder, would protest at this decision of the TEGA board, and the outcome and potential damage to their own business because of it....

Again, transparency is the loser here....

See you again next year for the next round

Mr Lynch in the Age suggests HRT has been hit with a fine of "several hundred thousand dolllars" Article Here while Mr Kershler reports in today's Daily Telegraph has a headline of "Million dollar fine" in the settlement of this... with monies payable to TEGA

That's a lot of money for a "poor struggling race driver" to stump up....

Maybe the 'delay' in coming to a decision was because Kelvin had to change the rules. IMO this will make TEGA and VESA the laughing stock of the sporting world.

Speaking of 'laughing stock': I think it's funny.

Billy starts this thread intimating that TEGA is about to boot HRT, then spends the next nine pages alternately back-pedalling and frothing at the mouth.

what bias? what rule was broken? has the team fixed up the cause of the break in the rule if any? has the team been punished for any break of rule?

Why do we want HRT out of the championship, surely we want the best teams racing?

I would have thought this was good sports administration

Isnt it a case of "we take your toys away from you for being naughty, but if you pay us a lot of money you can have them back, as long as you play nice from now on?"

I'd just like to know who will pay the financial settlement. Other than that, this outcome was expected so why bother complaining.

Not much of an explanation needed. Their actions or lack of are enough.
They just go from one controversy to another and achieve or solve nothing. As i said, there is the Spending Cap and now this so far this year, do i have to go back any further. I thought i would keep it current.

im not sure this is even a contriversy. a team was found to have broken a non motorsport rule, the team has (or about to) fix the situation and the team has been punished. What more do we want?

Can you tell me (or anyone else) and back it up with some skerrick of evidence based on fact. what the previous ownership of HRt was and what it is now. You cant because very few people know and really very few people need to know.

We ( and that includes you pete) are into the sport of motorsport we want to racing. the o0wnership of HRT is nothing to do with racing,

I do not want HRT out as Skaifey is my fav HOLDEN driver, I just want the a fair outcome, they get away with everything cause there are HRT and have HOLDEN backing them.

Fair for blue or red goggle wearing fans though?

If you're a blue blood then nothing short of a life ban would be right, and if they are found to be within the rules TEGA is corrupt.

If you're a red blood then you hope that the outcome will be that they comply and can keep racing.

If your a racing fan then you wonder what the hell the massive paper trail of bulldust is all about and who cares who owns what nut and bolt in the car. As long as the cars comply and meet Blueprint then game on.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story!!
If you read my 1st post again, you'll find I was 100% correct, again.
And I did not suggest that HRT would get booted.
Get your facts right before making a fool of yourself-again.

Will the decision made by TEGA towards HRT help them in the case of the Walden/Romano court action. It to me would not appear so.

team dynamic were not excluded for their testing breech and testing breechs are covered under V8SA australain rules not TEGA rules

Pete i would have thought it would help, at the end of the day who is Walden and what ability does he have to run a v8 supercar team. that is the difference here HRT are a known team and will rum competiitevely. Walden had no real sponsors, no driver and little v8 knowledge, thus they were knocked back.

its actually very consistent

I can not give you a fair outcome peckstar, all I can say is that HRT got caught and broke ( bend ) the rules, pending on which side of the fence you sit.

My bit is not with HRT it is with the joke of officaldem in Australia sport TEGA & VE$A. They have let HRT off scott free after more than 12 months of investagations, bottom line is that TEGA & VE$A are a bloody disgrace.

they have extracted a sum of money rumoured to be around a million dollars from HRT, that can hardly be conisidered scott free, plus they now have the team back within the rules. you should be please that TEGA have shown some balls on this and got the result they wanted
