ITV4 just now mentioned a poor setup for Turkington’s car and a water leak for Ingram as reasons for their poor qualifying.

Seems to be that the cars in the top ten struggle to follow and pass each other, while the ones further down are doing more overtaking? After that initial crazy first lap, it's gone a bit flat.

A shame for Turkington not being able to manage more than 10th. I wonder why their pace seemed to drop off as the race progressed? My only guess is they were getting excessive rear tyre wear.

From all that, was Gamble the only retirement?
Heart in mouth for Chilton, probably not many places you could get tipped on two wheels at that speed. Looks like he checked up as Rowbottom slid in front of him. Would like to see a reply of Crees & Collard getting together, then Collard spearing across the track twice. Sutton could potentially lead the championship after R2. |

That was indeed the incident btcc got away with. Ginettas shred well because they're carbon fibre tub so the more bits that come off the less energy goes through the tub which protects the driver. Hunter Abbott had a huge roll at oulton a few years back and he walked away thanks to how safe they are
