Agree on this, fantastic grid of cars but probably my least favourite of the big 24 hours, misses the peril of slower traffic.

Things are fine as they are. GT3 is one of the best categories in global motorsport today. GT4 is constantly progressing.and deserves to continue as its own series |

I agree it is fine as its own series, I just wish SRI would push a bit more and that would happen more if there were multi class races. A grid full of cars of a similar pace most of time is less of a spectacle, the only really issues come from mistakes not from lappery as much.
For me GT4 is usually more interesting as a watch as the cars are more different and make their speed in very different places, whereas most GT3 cars are very similar with good drivers on board as evidence by how sometimes very dull Sprint races are. |

It really is the end of civilization as we know it.
https://x.com/dsceditor/status/1806402487303245848?s=61 It’s not the Mona Lisa, it’s a Corvette on track. I despair, I really do. |

The laptimes are so fast with the resurfacing. Auer into the 2:13s!
Ferrari looking strong for the race with the forecast. |

Last year Ratel said he wanted to include GT2 in the 24 Hours of Spa however, for some reason it didn't happen and it would be great to have GT2 in the 24 hours.

Dang it was good to see the Panoz GTR1 again! And it won the GT legends race at Spa to boot. Credit to GTWorld for showing it.

Yes, very cool. But no wonder the ACO didn't let the MC12 race at Le Mans, bloody quick!

I also can't say I've ever been excited by the Spa 24h in the GT3 era, but having been to Le Mans and seen similar machinery (and quite a few of the drivers) in action, I'm looking forward to this one.
I understand the criticism about lack of multi-class, but I quite like the thought of some of the silver or bronze cup cars making moves through the field through the race once their pro drivers get bolted in for a few stints. There's some real quality in the field and I'd struggle to pick a winner. |

Not sure Spa really suits GT4, that was a fairly tame effort from them sadly!!

This yellow doesn’t need to take this long. 2 minutes to remove the car in the gravel & then 15 minutes of procedure…
Pole sitting #163 Lamborghini doesn’t seem to have the pace in race conditions to stick with the Mann Filter Mercedes. The Mustang lost 10 places on lap 1, don’t know why. Still early though & thunderstorms forecast for later on. |

Mustang has dropped all the way to 47th after starting 31st. No obvious reason why

Cant believe that the Lamborghini curse has struck again. #163 Grasser Racing which set the pole time and led the first 20 minutes has an issue with its fuel rig where its taking 15 seconds longer to fill AND they arent sure they are getting all of the fuel in. DISASTER.
Another 20 minute SC period to remove a car out of the gravel because of this wave by procedure. The rain begins as we go back to green. Last edited by v8supes; 29 Jun 2024 at 17:31. |

#63 Lamborghini hits something/someone loses its bonnet and damages the radiator, Jaminet Porsche and an AMG make contact and run into the gravel. FCY is called, AM Mclaren slows in the middle of the track and #26 Audi and an AMG runs into the back of him. 30 seconds of green flag for another 20 minutes of SC.
Last years winning BMW #98 is in the pits with an issue. - Water Leak #78 Barwell Lambo in the gravel 5 minutes after the last FCY.... FCY again, SC again. - about 25 minutes in total. Its so stupidly pointless. The car took about 5 minutes MAX to remove. #26 Audi has been repaired and is back on track. Last edited by v8supes; 29 Jun 2024 at 18:04. |

6 minutes of green flag, next FCY time. A terrible accident on the way down to Eau Rouge.

Yeah, that's a bad accident, no other way to describe it. I hope everyone is okay.

5 minutes of racing, #992 Porsche has a suspension failure in Eau Rouge, massive spin but somehow got away without hitting anything. Awful weekend for one of if not the best drive lineup out there.FCY again
