Regardless of whether other series also have the same rules, you need to bear in mind that the unsafe release rules cover more than just letting your car go out when it could possibly cause a collision. It also covers such things as a wheel not being properly affixed or other such potential dangerous actions. |

Although the style is different, I believe, in how it is used. Although this could be down to the style of pit lanes. |

The US doesn't penalise in the context of an F1 unsafe release. In F1, almost every car in these videos would have been penalised: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeY2QvEty8g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxv8vHThu14 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql5h00xcHLQ |

Did I see Princess Charlene wink at Bottas when she walked across the podium to hand Vettel his trophy? I rewound it several times. Bottas didn't wink back lol!

Just so. He always moans in these situations but he gets the job done. It's hard to overstate how difficult that was for him. It was no procession, it was a master-class in race driving and car control from an all-time great. Niki would have been proud of him.

So can we now say that Red Bull have leapfrogged Ferrari in the pecking order?I know its an abnormal circuit but Gasly holding the fastest lap and Verstappen pushing hard would seem to be a positive sign.Honda have definitely had a productive few months too.

Gasly's fastest lap was just the product of new tires in a no-lose situation.....

The FL was just a product of having a gap to fit softs and go for it. On that it was a shame Merc didn’t let Bottas have a go after Gasly had stopped and created a gap for him. |

Its premature to say Honda has leapfrogged Ferrari in the power unit department. Monaco is just too different of a beast. But, kudos to Honda regardless.

Near miss between Sergio Perez coming out of pit lane during SC and a couple of marshals - wow, that was c-l-o-s-e.
Really glad that all ended up OK but man their heart rates would all have been way up there afterwards! |

I think there is a bit of chemistry between the two of them, I spotted that (I think) last year she couldn't take her eyes off him. (Mind you, I struggle taking my eyes off her too!)

They couldn't do that as Bottas had to stay within 5 seconds of Max to get the 3rd place instead of 4th.

I think there still is no definitive proof of this yet. But in my subjective opinion, Red Bull is on the rise with each race while Ferrari is in disarray this season. I believe, and would like to bet, that Verstappen will leapfrog Vettel by the end of season. |

Did anyone spot EJ's verdict on the current Ferrari management? He suggested that Ferrari should re employ Stefano Domenicali.

I need to scratch my head and wonder when in the past, after 1970s perhaps, this has not been the case. I really don't understand when people wonder why every F1 race can't end in a 10-team draw. This just won't happen, in any sport. |
