Hmmm, lets not learn lessons from previous endeavours and have exclusive pay to view streaming on a fairly niche streaming service instead..
Im perfectly happy to pay for some series, but I have SKY F1 (hmm maybe thats a waste..) I have the WEC subscription so I can watch that live... is DTM worth paying to view? hmm |

The points scale now covers the top 15 finishers (25-20-16-13-11-10...).
I'd have used a 25-18-15-12-11-10... scale, but anyway. |

Nothing is listed as "scheduled" on the DTM channel for this weekend as of yet but im sure this is going to change. Hope they continue to show the free practice sessions as of last year. |

3-2-1 is - as in previous seasons - points system for top 3 drivers in each quali session. |

I certainly like the longer points scale.

No sign of any practice coverage...
It's 2023. I thought having to pay for the races was bad enough...but not even practice is streamed now? Not least on YouTube anyway. It's a shame - DTM has finally been worth watching since adapting GT3, the grid is strong, I like the format... |

Well, the practice sessions were streamed on YouTube - qualifying sessions are races are going to be too but indeed, looks like replays are not there anymore... Pretty strange to be honest.

Unfortunately the sessions being shown live only does most of us no good at all. Replays are the key here.

I couldn't watch anything live, so thanks for clarifying that, I had no idea they were streamed.
Makes the whole thing even more bizarre - why go through the effort of removing the videos, further isolating (and reducing) your global audience? |

Yeah, probably a VPN saves the day.
The race wasn't too thrilling although quite a few good battles. Shocking to see Mercedes so far back - similar with Sheldon van der Linde and Marco Wittmann. Amazing race for Heinemann on the other hand, truly impressive performance and I think it shows he deserves a seat in the DTM after two DTM Trophy titles. However quite worrying to see again so many cars dropping out of the race just to 'save cars.' Disgrace. |

So the replays for the free practice is up now. Lets wait a day or a couple days to see if the rest come up.

Before switching on today's race I've seen the yesterday's one is there as well. Under the 'Live' tab I believe.
Exciting race today btw, also quite refreshing not to see so many crashes as last year (even though it's only the beginning of the season but you can see a different 'culture' of racing). And, damn, those Porsches seem so fast. Now the question is, how much the BOP will be against them at Zandvoort. Shame for Preining, he clearly deserved the win, Engelhart was quite lucky, I only got aware of him being there when he was suddenly 2nd after the pitstops! And I'm continuously under huge impression of Heinemann. Definitely hadn't seen that coming before that weekend! |

I wish they would change the tyre rules to give them an extra set or two. After the pitstop in race 1 those who dont have a chance of points seem to retire to save tyres for the next day.

Not sure if anyone here has seen the races at Zandvoort but I must say I've enjoyed them. The track's spectacular and although it's difficult for overtaking, there was quite an interesting action across both races must say. Also glad to see the new race director got rid of the abhorrent driving standars of the past season - not missing the 'Indy restart' either (restarts weren't the case at Zandvoort though).
Looks to me like Thomas Preining is one of the early favourites to win the title although would like to see Maro Engel in the fight as well. Shame he couldn't make it to the podium today. IMO DTM should get rid of success ballast - BoP is enough to provide for varied results (and an extremely competitive grid is another factor providing for this) so I don't think the best drivers from the previous race should be punished for their success - especially as in the DTM winning the race on Saturday is far from being a guarantee to score another victory (sometimes even a podium) on Sunday. |

I did watch both races purely because the Anti virus i use comes with a VPN and they weren't bad considering that Zandvoort is not blessed with overtaking spots. Enjoyed watching practice and qualifying particularly because both the Audi and Lamborghinis were hitting the limiter in several places. A real aural treat.

Looks like the race replays from rounds 1 and 2 are up on YT now. They might post it on the weekend of the next race perhaps? Lets see if that is the pattern going forward. I can live with that.

Saturday's race replay was available after the race, before Sunday. Couldn't watch it live and watched on Sat evening (with a German VPN).

Have to say I enjoyed both races at Norisring, especially the second one (except for activists-idiots who tried to prevent the race from taking place). I must say I'm more and more certain ADAC's takeover of the DTM has made the championship better and as previous years were very 'up and down', this year I feel I'm enjoying the DTM the way I used to in the past.
Nice to see the competitiveness of the grid and would be great if the likes of Sheldon van der Linde and Thomas Preining could become one of the main DTM protagonists for year's to come. Shaping up to be a nice championship battle between them although knowing the DTM there'll be a lot more names thrown into play at various stages of the season. |

Do you prefer DTM to GTWCE for example? For me I think now it's more down to which circuit they're at than the championship. |
