One week ago I was just back from holiday in Portugal and looking forward to Sebring and a full calendar of motorsport. As of today my entire company is working from home; my elderly parents are having food deliveries left on their doorstep to avoid contact; sport has ground to a halt; borders are closed; flights are grounded and the Govt has just announced that social and cultural events must stop. The speed of it all is breathtaking. And you're grumpy about not knowing two weeks out whether a race meet will happen?

Don't assume things that are put in words on a screen and are not said with vocal emotion or a telling expression to go with or that I am grumpy too. How can you tell if I am? Will |

don't assume that words in certain combinations don't carry emotion or expression - they do.
The government have been playing a blinder on this IMO by issuing guidance rather than edicts. In case you've never thought about it, we Brits don't respond well to edicts. However the varied responses from businesses has shown up the difference between the sensible and competent, and the selfish / lazy / greedy / incompetent (delete as appropriate). |

And the reduction in interest rates - that only helps as long as it's passed on. I haven't had a note from my bank yet giving me the good news, I expect it's delayed in the post. I've no doubt that certain businesses will have a good pandemic, but the leisure industry won't be one of them. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

I think there are some pretty good videos around from previous members meetings. Love to see them posted for all to watch in this period of no current activity.

I'll be popping in to the circuit tomorrow for a test day; the HRDC test on Monday was quite well supported by competitors but in all reality I am anticipating cancellation of the meeting which on a purely selfish level will be particularly gutting for me.

just had an email from Goodwood
the event has been postponed, new date not yet known Foreign competitors, especially from overseas, would not haven been able to attend anyway with the travel bans coming into force, or end up getting stranded in the UK RuE Last edited by Rudernst; 17 Mar 2020 at 09:42. |

We have to assume it's for the best and everyone's fit and well for whenever it's rescheduled.

maybe someone can do a CGI MM and we can watch that, if we know what e entry list it'll be fairly easy to predict most of it.

My LAds got a really good driving game on his PC . . . and a good fleet of old cars . . . we could, effectively do it al on line.
I'm sure that's effectively the future . . . . and you can lock the car spec! or modify, he has a bonkers V8 MK1 Transit in his fleet, which is a right hoot! |

The Goodwood website now has a timetable and entry lists for the two day live streamed Members Meeting Favoutite Moments event. Clever idea I think.
