Mainstream media generally screw things up. Channel 9 called Kimi Raikonen a 2 time Champion with McLaren (obviously confusing the two blonde Fin's in silver and black cars) in 2005, I've heard blessed Peter Brock reffered to millions of times as the 9 time Australian Touring Car Champion, god knows how many people still call the HRT the "Holden Dealer Team", and my most favourite, NBN news in Newcastle last year introducing Mark Webber on an interview piece as Mark Schumacher.....Yes, Mark Schumacher....
Moral to the story - Unless its a full time motorsport guy saying it, I wouldn't take it as gospel. |

Most recently I have heard Mr Seton referred to as having been on the Bathurst podium 3 times in the last 4 seasons... maybe thats where PWR's "3" came from?

A DNF in 2002, 9th in 2001, 13th in 2000, 5th in 1999, 5th in 1998, DNF 1997, 15th in 1996, DNF in 1995, DNF 1994...
And motorsport didnt exist before that Pretty good enduro record more recently than at the start... only other podium (although he never joined the winner on the balcony) was the belated 1987 2nd place in the Skyline |

And, at least in the V8 era, everytime Glenn Seton has driven the car in Bathurst qualifying, he has made the Shootout. FACT.
Not even John Bowe, Peter Brock, Dick Johnson, Mark Skaife or Jason Bright have managed that. Little ol' Seto has (And yes so has that bugger Lowndes too) Perhaps Falcadore can do his check to see if this applies to Seton pre-1993 at Bathurst? So when Seto steers the car for those 20 mins, he does quite well For a while in the late 90's up until 2001, no one could knock him off provisional pole on the Friday. He was always the man to catch and could always find that sweet spot |

You'd have enjoyed 1983 Rotor, Mazda cleaned up winning the ATCC (Moffat), AMSCAR (Terry Shiel) & Endurance Championship (Peter McLoed), the only one that got away was Bathurst
