Yeah. Gonna be tough for all. Hopefully there's enough money to keep wolves from the doors.

"Well Mike Joy, Ernie and all the boys back at the shop..."
https://youtu.be/KiEs9LVrzr0 There's a great Pontiac Excitement commercial at 9 mins. And gotta love a stock car race with AJ Foyt and EFR in it. |

I'm now 50 laps into the 1989 Indy 500. Don't spoil that for me!! All I know is Kevin Cogan won't win. That guy knows how to wreck a racecar! |

Oops, iRacing has real world impact on your career and you can't play like it's Xbox or PS4 gaming as a teen.
Kyle Larson suspended indefinitely without pay for racial slur on the radio last night. https://racer.com/2020/04/13/larson-...r-racial-slur/ Bubba Wallace lost a sponsor for rage quitting a race last week. |

damn. They fired Kyle Lawson. Not a good year for him....
Just checked the actual video for context (as I feel we all must do these days, regardless). He's got no defense. I will say that I want to race stockcars on the old Monza speedway track, though. How do I get in on this? |

Rage quits and racial slurs. Seems like NASCAR understands online gaming just fine.
Quote:
Warning: It isn't cheap. You'll need to subscribe to the service, buy the content, you'll need a wheel and pedals and it's VERY hard. But it's also the best online racing service there is. By far the best NASCAR sim/game. GT stuff isn't as good as Assetto Corsa Competition but the online system isn't as good as iRacings. |

Rule # 1. Don't ever have a freakin' microphone anywhere near your person.
Rule # 2. Obey all the rules. Looks like we've lost one of the more talented drivers of his generation regrettably. I know many good men (and women) who've said an awful lot worse when having a workplace meltdown. Avoid the computer games or turn the mike off. I thought Bubba was hard done by for calling it a day the other week rather than drive a knackered car for an hour or so with zero prospect of any rewarding finish... |

Yeah, think he'll end up in a small teams truck again in 21 and work his way back up. IF things get back to previous levels of sponsor involvement.
Although, decreased sponsor spending and this decreased costs to run a team could help everyone. Yes, I realize that means I'm willing to speculate Hendrick, CGR, etc will all take less money and tighten their spending rather than have 30 sponsors each paying for their own race or 2. I'm trying to be optimistic now but the media and their desire for doom gloom and social distancing until 2022 is wearing me down |

Mayor of LA making suggestions that public events of 1,000 + people may not be a thing 'til 2021.
I'm starting to think sporting events globally will either be not occurring or will do so behind closed doors with TV only audiences. Meanwhile, back to old races on YouTube for me! (Any recommendations?) I've tried to get into watching the i racing but it is dull. Seriously dull! |

Yeah, Belgium and I think Germany have banned mass events through the end of August. It seems unlikely sports will return at "normal" levels this season and possibly most of 2021. I think most of these plans aren't going to come to fruition sadly.
