who's got the Pommy Car Engineer? I can hear someone talking but don't recognise the driver responding, i assume as they are codrivers for this session

yes but only 0.6 off nathan Pretty , so frankly I think he is doing ok considering the weather , track,experience and possibly even the car

I worked out 107% of 2:24 is 2:39 ish, of which Cw was under?

I dunno I still suspect HRT's worst is still pretty good compared to the Kelly Krate. You just need a good engineer.

Massive difference between #17 and #18. Lots of guys with lots more miles than Waters around the same sort of speed, or lack thereof.

when the other team car is less than a second ahead of the rocketship and one place furtehr up the grid, maybe its not the wisest thing to say

Unless I missed something, both drivers need to be within 107% of the fastest time in one practice or qualifying session.

So in this regard, Mr Waters seems to have made it, his 2.35:7744 being ~5.3% of the fastest time in this 2nd session (codriver specific) of 2.27:8960 of Mr Richards in #5. Job done. Nice work!

All they need to do now is to give the car to Mr Denyer to run the car in the qualifying session within 107% of the quickest time in that session.

And then they can start! Easy peasy Japanesey

Car #77 still needs to qualify in the qualifying session within 107% of the fastest time.

In theory, if it doesnt do that, then the team can apply to the overlords of the meeting for a 'force majeure' (using a technical failure as a reason..) and request a start on the basis of each driver achieving 107% in the practice sessions.

Poor Taz, spoke to him at the pub that night, he was most dissapointed, even more so his entourage

Its red at the track has been for a significant time, but all the cars are back in the pits, dont know why

GT saying that 888 and Whincup will be nervous if it rains because "Thompson is hopeless in the wet". Some mind games for the youngster to think about and seems like a big statement from GT who must be confident of his comments to put it out there.
