Vettel: What is the fastest lap of the race
Team radio: Don't even think about it... Made me chuckle. Not sure how Hamilton's unsafe release got overlooked. Worst weekend ever by TGF, if a rookie had a race like that, people would be furious. |

I can't wait for Nick Heidfeld to be given the seat he deserved from the off. I doubt he'd have had a mess of a race like that.

Webber was closing on him, but there may have been a reluctance to have a fight to the death over 4th place, after Turkey..... @bjohnsonsmith - I take your point! |

I tell you what, just watching the start again Jenson did well to hold onto the car! Massa and Liuzzi really slammed into him.

I wondered if Bernie noticed how good a race on a proper track with a packed crowd can be? Montreal should be one of the first names on the list in my opinion. |

An entertaining late afternoon race. TGF.....hmmmmmm, naughty stuff but very watcheable telly...still, great fun to see and wince, especially stuffing it with Massa onto the grass, he will never drink the rosso in Italy again...credit due to Force India; fantastic stuff, to finish in the points, with the first corner coming together. Felt sorry for Kubica, had a coming together with someone whose name I forget....

I see kubica got a wrap on the knuckles for his pit entry, and quite right too, would have been a big smash if they had come together!

Wonder how Liuzzi would've fared if he hadn't ballsed upin T1-T2?? He still beat Sutil after all.
Massa showed some spirit coming through after that 'touring car' racing style barding match at T1-T2. Shame he's been given a penal. Race to forget for McBrawn. Schu very strong early on but then went a bit crazy and Rosberg was done for after nearly having to stop to avoid Liuzzi and Massa coming out of T2. Alonso could've won as he said. It is true that he lost some time just before his pit stop and then getting baulked by the Lotus later on allowing Button to pounce. However the Alonso of old wouldn't have let Lewis through so easily in a last of the late brakers match like that would he? |

Well Schumi wasn't great or nice. Rather pathetic, but I guess you can't expect somebody like him to realize that his actions are crossing the line considering he is racing for nothing (oposed to a WDC).
But I though the Kubica pit entry was far more ruthless, useless and dangerous than anything MS did today. Just plain stupid. In my opinion that guy is starting to develop a questionable attitude. It's not the first time he seems to think he is oh-so-much-smarter than everyone else. Seems like he and Vettel both took lessons at the Schuey On And Off Track Behaviour School. So actually I found it amusing that Kubica and Schumi got into a little brawl and wouldn't have minded seeing both cars taken out. |

Oh yes I agree, and someone please note..give a year or two I see Kubica as a new ruthless WC, a clone of TGF. Not saying I mind..years ago, everyone got out of the way of Michael; now no ones scared of him; hes rattled which will make for great races later as Ross gets the car sorted..

Kubica, someone will grab him and make him WDC, and it wont be Ferrari.

Finally got to see a replay of the race and the first half was great, but I cannot believe McLaren didn't get a penalty for releasing Hamilton into the path of Alonso, especially after the reprimand they got in China. Lewis and McLaren copped their fair share of penalties in the past but seem to be teflon this season.
I thought Button drove a very good race and RBR screwed the pooch with strategy again. Still it makes for a good WDC contest. |

That incident was scary, when Sutil overtook Kubica and the latter continued at full speed into the pits cutting across Sutil's line. They should move the pitlane entrance speeding line further towards the corner to avoid such situations from happening again. If cars exiting for the pits were at approximately the same speed than those braking for the final chicane, the chance of accidents would be greatly reduced.
