Mike Kelly 1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Chris, once again your a star . Thats my son sorted for the infield, now all I need to do is find centre access for my other two guests (both using fellow marshals guest wrist bands - but both of them at woodcote gap)

If your touring Europe, why not call in at the Nurburgring 24 Hours (weekend after the GP). I'm sure we can find you a place to sleep at the carousel, and a few beers of course !

Excellent Chris thanks for the info...... shame about the discrimination though.... means those of us working 'outside' cant visit 'inside ' without leaving our guests behind!!!!!

To add a rider to this - I am led to believe that the swapping of wristbands is to take place at signing on, and will be under the control of Pam Dearn. So don't go nagging your individual chiefs for them, as they won't have any!

Passes are not the same as wristbands. Wristbands are given out at sign on, not before.

No Mike, if Chris is in Europe the weekend after the GP and wants to go to a 24 hour race he'll head to Le Mans. A soft bed under the stars in the pine forest and a few bottles of red beats the prospect of waking up to find you've nicked the wheels off his bike!. See you at Croft

I'm at club outside. I've some guests arriving Friday with tickets. They are staying on the campsite with me. I've spoke to Pam and she will give extra campsite wristbands for me to give to them. Just in case anyone is doing the same just make sure you get extra wristbands when you sign in on the Thursday.

Chris H -
thanks from us all in helping to get a partial solution for this - I'm fortunate in being infield already, but just hope MSA will remember in time to ensure no repeat next year. Whether it's been mean-minded beaurocracy by Int'l Motorsports, or just an admin oversight, once again it makes the volunteers feel undervalued and overlooked - exactly the attitude we (and, as we all appreciate, you) have been campaigning against for some time.
Let's hope the noise that's been created by such an injustice at what should be the premier event of the year will also add some muscle to our requests for respect and consideration (alongside some simple and inexpensive improvements to marshal's facilities) at other circuits...

Aha! I reckon it's a conspiracy against the BMMC Nat Council because our illustrious leader isn't attending, and is swanning off "sur la continent"

I leave before the post on Monday, but SWMBO will drop in lunch-time to check and update me.

I can feel another phone-call coming on...............sigh (again)

Well fellow 10 tenthers, thanks very much. I've just spent 10 minutes reading this thread to find out that when I sign my fellow marshals on on Thursday afternoon I am going to be asked by all of you "where is my guest's centre access pass" - for those of you who know me you will know what the answer is. GO AND SEE THE BOSS DOWN THE END OF THE TABLE!.......only joking, At least I am forewarned now. Well done Chris, I was in the same situation being at Vale In.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
In relation to the bus stop at ped bridge I think it actually states that there should be no walking on the track at that point; probably to prevent people milling about when the busses are trying to pull in. I would doubt if there would be a problem with walking to copse, or you could always walk around the perimeter road to copse, stowe or wherever!!!

The only thing I would say about using the track in the mornings is that there is always a large number of vehicles moving around before the track is closed and it is probably best not to wander around too much on the circuit itself till nearer the closing time, when most of the vehicles will be in their required locations, unless it is necessary to put out bottles etc.
