Yes but basically will be MY2017 specs made available for customers (actually lexus gt3 already is).
Brand new gt3 cars for 2018 will be the new rumored nissan gt-r powered by 2.0 L4 engine, and the rumored new bentley and vantage

With the BoP test at Ladoux only six or so weeks away, testing for any new GT3 car for 2018 would have to be well underway by now. So I don't think we'll see a new Bentley or Aston next year.

Yeh i wasn't counting those as they are already homologated so not strictly new

I saw that happen live on the stream and was wondering if I was seeing things but I realised I wasn't when they played it back a few times in the hourly highlights.

That is nuts.

That and the red Ferrari that got out of shape through Eau Rouge but held onto it. And then there was Bortolotti first lap....

Hard to tell with the cars in front but I think he clipped the curb on drivers right as he came up, that might have gotten some air underneath the car and lifted it, bit of a chain reaction?

Saw an interesting rumour on the Super GT thread (credit to whoever mentioned it)

Apparently Toyota to do a GT3 model of a new Supra

And of course I see in the news today, Toyota are set to announce a new sports car in September, likely a Supra

So, what does everyone think?

And m- a replacement for the Lexus RC F, or an addition? I still think they should have gone LC500 for the Lexus GT3

That was what I had seen reported, but I have seen BMW will be only convertible and ONLY BMW will get the convertible. Small change in order but big time change in released cars. But it seemed like it would be a shared platform with engine changes between the manufacturers. Which seems to indicate the new Supra will be a small car if it is the new Z car as well.

Good looking little car that would make a nice second-coming as the GT3 model, if BMW management ever decides to look past racing mechanical whales in top-flight GT series (although its a smaller "canvas" for art cars).

It's kind of like a Germanic F-Type.

The Z4 GT3 was homologated from the E89 Z4, which was by default an open-top but with the retracting/folding roof being metal.

It's the V6 still - as I expected given the pictures of the test mule have enlarged skirts to fit the pair of troublesome catalytic convertors - their original placement had cooked the drivers feet for so long.

A 4 pot would likely only need the one exhaust.

anyway, really aggressive look for the new continental. Is still m-sport effort?

The focus on aero is clear, that basically was what the old continental was lacking.
