Keep in mind, this race also featured a fire extinguisher on fire.

This is really properly poor by RLM. The track is a lake and we're talking to the man in charge of BoP for ten minutes and they haven't once mentioned the madness on the screens in front of them.

Emergency vehicle on track @ Hatzenbach after David Thenelius stopped on track with #39 Aston Martin GT8.

I know it's "slick", but the amount of grip from these cars at night in these conditions never ceases to amaze me.
Not only is it beginning to get light, I can see a little break in the clouds for some color from the Sun! Edit and now they show the chopper shot with clouds "touching the ground"...... |

Honestly, it was done bar some miraculous (2017-esque) change in circumstances. The #1 wasn't making up enough time, if any, on the lead pair.
Lesson to be learnt: Don't let Rene Rast drive in your car next race! |

From the onboard, the car was moving about oddly just before the accident. He almost certainly had the rear puncture before the incident.
My outside hope is now the Aston Martin. It won't happen, but I can dream! |
