van der Linde says it was driver error! Surprised at that one. It had all the hallmarks of a puncture.

3:32 penalty for the #912. That's a big Code 60 infringement.
Everything is falling into place for the ever reliable Black Falcon #4. |

3:32. So does the 912 have to serve that in a pit stop? Or does it get added to the race time?

Good, let's be honest, we all hate when they race to times. So at least it'll be real.
Ok it'll cost the car a third of a lap. But we have 5 hours to go. So they aren't out of it yet. Edit: 15 seconds faster that lap. Last edited by Akrapovic; 13 May 2018 at 08:33. |

What on Earth is Hindhaugh on about? There's no "secret squirrel" list of waivers about moving gearboxes and whatnot. The only GTE waiver is the Ford production numbers.

There's not a secret list of waivers, but a few years ago they were talking about a GTE rulebook that nobody was actually allowed to see. That might be what he was referring to (I missed the discussion).

Wouldn't be surprised if there's a red flag for the pit straight.

Ok so not a surprise but red flag.
Are the gaps between the cars preserved, or does that put Manthey on the back of the Mercedes? |

I'd say that because this isn't a time trial the gaps will not be preserved. The quickest car on track before the red was the 6 Black Falcon Benz. They are now right back in contention.

It does but I wouldn't trust that. They are certainly on the same lap.
Been told that gaps under a lap aren't preserved, so if this restarts then Manthey might be on the back of the 4. Edit: My timing says 4 minute gap between the leaders. |

It said 4 minute something on my timing before everyone returned to the pits. So guess the lap is because the #4 garage is after the Manthey garage.

Far too complicated to work out. Just gotta wait to hear if it'll restart. I'd like to think it will. |

Timing screen has just reset, #4 and #912 on the lead lap, #6, #7 and #5 one lap down. Gaps between the cars on the same laps likely erased?

I don't think they are, judging from the discussion on the English language (RLM) stream. Just says cars will restart in the order they completed 2 laps before the red. No mention of times being added.
If it restarts then the 4 and 912 are on the same lap. 6, 7 and 5 are on the same lap. |
