Can’t help but feel RC was light on Ferrari after screwing them at Spa. Giving them 6-7 laps to make them close the door meant they could make it on the same amount of stops as everyone else. 5 seconds for an unsafe release wouldn’t have mattered once JML spun and then was down on power. Congrats Ferrari, in a topsy turvy race they were always there or thereabouts.

belt driven has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Scoring glitch (one of MANY!). 8th place Place Porsche shows 1 lap less than 9th.

Fixed

May be because of the number of penalties.

They had 5 more stops than Ferrari 50. Were those at night under the long SC? Gotta think that's impacted the results some.

I'm not sure about drive times, but would otherwise agree with you there.

Ferrari door open again, oh wait they'll get 6 laps to fix the flag all twisted up. Marshals assisted and gave him a better flag

That's a serious hybrid to get them around the full lap

I think the #8 was robbed of victory. Getting spun out like that, then a lenient penalty of 5 seconds is laughable. No action on the unsafe release, and letting Ferrari do 5, 6 laps with an open door... those were the calls that sealed Ferrari's victory. But I think most of the reason they were even in contention was a couple issues with the 8 car and of course the insane amount of safety car. It wasn't nearly as good a 'race' as last year imo

I think JML did a good enough job. Yes, the spin may have cost him, but fair play to him he drove an absolute monster of s stint to bring the gaps right down. I think RC were extremely lenient on Ferrari with penalties, but it is what it is. Disappointed in Toyota for giving up before getting to the flag. Good job to Ferrari for going back to back. At least it was the faster of the two crews this time around.

If you expect rational (by any other standard) officiating from ACO; I know a famous bridge for sale in NY.

I think we can safely say, Ferrari is going nowhere when it comes to WEC.

It's always going to cause arguments when RC are applying unsafe release penalties, contact penalties and calling cars in so quickly to get doors fixed, then not when it's Ferrari towards the end. Fair play though, it's still a tough thing to achieve. It makes little difference to me either way, I'm a Peugeot fan!

I was surprised they were allowed to do so many laps with the an open door.

I dont know why Ferrari didnt wait 1 more lap before fixing the door, then they dont need to save so hard.

Now, does that include Kamui's " spin to a avoid a squirrel at arnage " as well?...

If they had been pinged for it quicker they would have needed an additional stop.

A massive amount of blue flag penalties, which surprised me. This is generally not something people were penalised for before.
