The #7 & #8 have had 2 seconds in hand. Outside of a qualifying run, the #9 has not had the same speed as its sister cars. Of course it can be done, but to catch the leader at least one of the drivers has to find something not yet seen from the car.

Yeah le mans has never been decided by breakdowns. Like I said, you've not seen many of these.

I personally hope for the underdog result of LMP2 on the overall podium.

I think that we've been spoiled by Audi and even Peugeot running overbuilt cars from a mechanical standpoint. Once the weight went down and tech went up, even Audi had issues with hybrid systems.

Let's see, 5 cars entered, 3 with problems and 1 retired. Oh yeah, that last one will run all the way fine, let's pack it up and we'll save the fuel ad tires. And everyone can go home early.

Before anyone starts dreaming about a LMP2 overall win: A healthy LMP1 (#1) put 8 or 9 laps on a healthy LMP2 (#31) in about 10 hours.
It's still almost 14 hours to go and the #2 is only 10 laps behind the #31.

Well in 2014 both audis suffered the same turbo failure and won,last year both Porsches suffered the same water pump failure and won.last year and 2014 only Toyota failed and they lost.lets see if the 1 fails and wins.
