Alfa Romeo does sound like a good choice because their current F1 team (Sauber) will become Audi.

It was mentioned that Alfa Romeo would make an announcement regarding its future in motorsport well at Le Mans Classic or during the Silverstone Grand Prix. Let's see. It looks like we won't have to await a lot.

Good move from TF. That rumour had been doing the rounds so nice to see it confirmed. I'm sure they're an absolute lock for grid slots next year.
If you can get beyond the loss of GTE and P2 the grid next year is going to be something else. |

It's interesting how quickly this is developing now. With the uncertainty over who will get a GT entry we have seen Proton switch from Porsche to Ford and now TF from Aston to Chevy (GM, really).

It is surprising how the category switch for 2024 triggered such a big team/manufacturer shake-up among top tier pairings. I did not expect that considering almost all GTE providers had a GT3 in their catalog too.

It fits the present refresh of prototypes, GT will get an influx of challengers from across the spectrum. Stands to reason as the GT-only series' will be more in line with what's coming.

Well, if the ACO didn't cap entries in GT3 to two cars per make (obviously to benefit the Hypercar field).

And it wouldn't be BMW without their most famous idea to the motorsport world; the "art car".
That's right, it's back. Ant this one will be the hypercar that WRT will be fielding for next years 24 hours of Le Mans race. Story about it is at sportscar365.com. |

There is something at Goodwood but not sure it will be THE car, a showcar or only pictures.
The interview talks about a bespoke 3.8L twinturbo V8 developped inhouse by Lamborghini. So not the same powerplant as the Porsche 963, but maybe the same origin ? |

I think the official reveal is supposed to be at Goodwood tomorrow. Though this calls to mind the Porsche 963 launch, when the car's name and livery were accidentally revealed a few days early via a pop-up magazine subscription advertisement on Racecar Engineering

Excited to go have a look at this in the flesh (albeit probably in show car form) tomorrow.
Looks good. Lighting looks very cool. Similar to Caddy but I think it's already been established that Lambo have been doing this a while (since the Sian I think). Hopefully we get some more confirmed driver news soon. |
