Apparently the new owner of the Mobil Bathurst Rover is French historic and WEC racer Jean-Marc Merlin. (the 635 parked next to it in the pic is one he ran in Peter Auto events last year).
He's part of the Craft-Bamboo Aston lineup for the Bathurst 12 hour next month, and the interview in this report mentions that he owns an ex-Bathurst TWR Rover http://sportscar365.com/gt/bathurst-...st-12h-lineup/ |

Alan Scott had TWR #14 in full flight at NZ's Ruapuna a couple of weekends ago. Pity that Alan Dippies' TWR Nos 5 & 18 weren't there also. NZ is really quite fortunate with the TWR Vitesse's

TWR 011 has now been purchased and is back in the UK.
I think AWS Engineering of classic super touring events have it. So that's another one to look forward to seeing out again. The Donington Historic meeting, the first round of the MRL trophy might see as many as 6-7 versions out.... |

Mike, I dont know where you're living but if its not too far from Yorkshire, a nice region to visit, Wetherby LS22 4 DN, it could be worth for you to pay a visit to speedmastercars. Close to your computer screen, I found this for you:

Yes, James, merchants if you would prefer or Dagenham Daves may be? Nothing wrong with that I presume. Historic racing is meant for ultra rich people who can't afford a new car, thats why they go for second hand ones!
I can't wait next Mike's question because I suspect it will be about certain papers to obtain if you see what I mean. |

i realise this is an old and long-winded thread, but i'm chasing people with 1st had experience in Rover V8 race engine building, especially the latter GpA period when the twin plenum intake was homologated and various other freedoms were applied.
I'm mostly retired but still have a comprehensive engine rebuild/machine shop, and may have an opportunity to get involved with 1 of these engines/cars in the future thanks, terry |

Saw your post in the register thread. Currently in the UK only one engine is produced and that is built by J E Engine Developments. I've given you contact details in the other thread.
