^ you realize the insanity of this IF it's true by the way they make it sound with press releases ?

Cook doesn't have the budget for PMR but has the budget for 888 but at same time Aron Smith can afford the supposed higher cost of PMR but can't run with 888 , the pseudo partner of his former BMR team ?

My money was on Smith joining Eurotech but I guess the last few announcements prove there are still surprises for us

If you're going by that logic you could ask why Hunter Abbott didn't get go get a seat at MG, as a Handy seat is supposedly more expensive than a Power Maxed seat, which in turn would be supposedly more expensive then a 888 seat. I'm not an insider or expert or whatever but I'd suggest it comes down to a bit more than solid cash judging by these situations...

you could argue that Hunter may have opted for what looks like a much more competitive machine (RML upgraded Chevy VS old overweight Toyota)

but you can argue that the PMR Chevy is better than an MG

as you said much more things must be underneath ...

AmD will be the announcement today, sadly not in the same vein as the last 2 announcements from Team HARD and 888.

They have been in the BTCC before though

Well with the cancelling of the B-TEC series this year I've heard we'll be see at least one VW CC on the BTCC grid this year.

Still a few more pieces in the jigsaw, just when it was looking complete

Anyone know if they have the RML goodies this season?

Ollie Jackson's back. Fair play to him after falling victim to the Protons last time out.

I reckon the budget might have been an excuse for HA, for example if I offered you a drive at Handy or a drive at PMR I'd imagine you'd take Power Maxed. Developed car, ambitious well backed and well supported

Welcome back, Ollie, the Proton year aside he should be dependable enough. Did Ollie not post on here, or was that another forum?

Sounds like AMD only running their 1 TBL so there is still a spare floating around. Wouldn't put it past BMR to snap it up and run a CC if they're not needed in BTEC now (is that confirmed anywhere?)

As far as I know yes they were upgrading to the RML kit, only Team HARD and the Speedworks Honda of Matt Simpson are starting with GPRM, not sure about Welch yet, though they had planned to upgrade too!

So with the grid almost filled, this is who I think should be in the last two seats. Aron Smith at PMR and Jack Clarke at Eurotech

Those were two good announcements with HARD and 888 but the AmD one is rather disappointing.

Gallagher back with BKR maybe? 32 could somehow emerge from this yet.

The whole reason Gallagher signed in BTEC and not BTCC is because he had limited budget. Would be shocked if he appeared in BTCC this year!

Still, I want to see a Passat at least on the BTCC grid. Those cars look mega and are a big loss.

Arguably a BTEC driver should be spending their budget getting on to the TOCA support series. More bang for your buck than racing at what were effectively club meetings. OK you won't be driving a recent spec BTCC car but if you're a good driver you should be able to move up to current BTCC machines when you are ready for that step.

In my eyes a safe bet who can consistently bring it home and with lots of untapped potential in the audi I would suspects points finishes will regularly be on the cards
