I might be a million miles out, but my theory on Plato and reasoning:
Plato will go to BMR with sponsorship (but not Tesco) - Warren Scott announced at Snetterton that BMR Restart Racing will enter the Clio Cup in 2015 with a proposed 4 car entry. - Restart is not a company on the scale of Red Bull or Monster, but a Clio Cup and BTCC entry, with Warren Scott also buying Rye House raceway... Money surely is coming from somewhere new?! - Triple Eight stated Plato had stated his intention to leave the team whilst at Snetterton. My theory: Plato joins BMR to provide additional backing to Team BMR, allowing Restart to reorganise its sponsorship commitments to backing Clio Cup cars and, perhaps, only 2 BTCC cars. Obviously just a theory, but maybe has a few more facts in it than some musings here... |

Agreed, or someone else around the same age. 888 won't take anyone who can't fund a whole season after the revolving door of drivers in 2011....... Last edited by Craner Curves; 13 Feb 2015 at 21:39. |

Mr Harrison was quoted at the Jordan reveal that they are aiming for young drivers as it is more in tune with the brands marketing aims.

Plato has aligned a bucket load of staff from 888 to take to BMR , and Warren Scott is flashing his cash to make the championship his at it will work .
This year will be a real battle , but a battle of whos got the biggest budget , the other teams may as well go home . |

Turkington and Plato at BMR vs Neal and Shedden at Honda vs Jordan at MG vs Priaulx and Collard at WSR.
If I get that... |

Plato has always driven for a manufacturer, so if that's the case, this will be the first year he has driven for an independent team?

Didn't 888 state they want a younger driver in second car? Someone like Goff maybe?

It could just be Ian pulling our leg with the young jibes. My vote is Pinkney.

Just stating they need young drivers to sell cars, not older ones.
