It was reported that Kolles' PMC company had registered the Vanwall name as a trade mark in Germany.

With all the Daytona action over the weekend, I missed this story on DSC about the homologation troubles for byKolles. But indeed it involves a trademark dispute with another company. Apparently the Vanwall name is owned by different people in different countries?
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/...nwall-lmh.html But there is a nice full render of the hypercar and it looks pretty nice. There was also apparently a recent video of the actual car with its engine being fired up. I can't find that link at the moment though. |

that thought crossed my mind, but was giving them the benefit of doubt! And hadnt some of their drivers seen the tub/car? I am guessing they wouldn't want to hurt their careers with other teams by being deceitful.

Nice looking car. I hope it races or at least tests in its racecar version.

It would certainly help the top class if the ACO would give the car some backing and try to get it into le mans 2022, it needs to make the top class a priority TBH

It surely will struggle a lot against lmp2 but no doubt it will be the best looking prototype in grid. Not to mention that very likely the car is made on the same modified adess lmp2 chassis of CLM, which it means weight distribution will be a mess because of shorter wheelbase and to add a lot of extra ballast on a chassis designed for a 900kg car isn't exactly a good idea, but... we're talking about kolles at the end.

Is it the case that to build a Hypercar you have to be a manufacturer, of sorts?
Is that why they are persisting with the Vanwall thing? Because if it does HAVE to be a Vanwall (or similar), and Vanwall aren't having it, then I can see why this thing is still parked outside someone's personal garage and not on an entry list. |

Does this car seem to have a lack of cooling ducts or any openings at all above the wheel arches? Does that work?

Thanks buddy - I thought that was the case but couldn't be sure.

EDIT: And to joeb's point - I'm definitely getting showcar/unfinished vibes from those images. |

Remember the start of the year when they forced Glick to enter the full season?.....and yet now Peugoet and Porsche are allowed to enter when they want to. I understand your point though, and of course the technical regulations are a bit different from entrance requirements. |

Glickenhaus were trying to pick and choose events based on budget and market preference. Essentially undermining the full WEC season. Disappointingly Peugeot just aren't ready to race. They are missing the biggest PR opportunities and I imagine the ACO have been paid in full. Plus in theory, a longer-term commitment to the WEC. The Porsche thing is interesting. It would appear that the Fuji-enforced 34-car grid size limit is clearly not an issue anymore. Not sure what the solution was there but the ACO clearly feel like they've got extra grid capacity to play with. |

Surprised Colin Kolles didn't call Victor Muller. I am sure they could get an agreement to rebadge it Spyker.
