Well I guess some can’t wait for the 2019 event. People will come if they can. I think most drivers care more about the 24h event

Yes. Last year or the year before we had 3 (4 including the Qualification Race) races leading up to the N24. It's a bit overkill but VLN will have to schedule its races somehow. Aston Martin showed this year that you don't need VLN to prepare and be a contender (it helps when you're a proper works team, of course).

Surprised there's no Manthey Porsche's in VLN3.

May be the wrong place for this, but just saw a Landgraff Motorsport trailer coming off a ferry at Calais from the UK. Any idea where that would have been this weekend?

Better late than never, I some pictures from VLN1 and the 24 Hour.

Please note:
- I take a lot of photos, these are big albums!
- I'm a fan with a camera, I claim no photography expertise
- These are all cropped and resized but otherwise unedited

I've got an interview with race winner Lance David Arnold for y'all: https://www.gt-report.com/2018/06/28...-car-was-fine/

Also got one with his co-driver Felipe Fernández Laser tomorrow.

Thanks! Here's another one. It's an interview with my friend Finn Unteroberdörster who's in his first VLN season, racing a Mégane RS in VT2. He's the son of 2000 VLN champion Uwe as well as family of the many-times champions Fritzsche brothers. So far this year he's won 2 out of 3 races in the VT2 class. Another case of big talent, little money, so we'll have to see how far he'll get in motorsports. Hope it's a nice change from the usual GT3 focus.

Look out for British GT driver, David Pittard, having his first outing in the Walkenhorst BMW M6 GT3 this coming weekend. Another step up for this hugely talented driver.

Until today there is no official Result of the last VLN race.
First and second overtook a "traffic jam" caused bei a code 60 and until now there is no decission by the stewards or DMSB. It could happen that both loose their good result.

BTW every VLN Race is streamed nonstop from start of quali (8:30) until end of race (usually 16:00). Thats awesome

Nissan/NISMO Japanese drivers (Tsugio Matsuda, Mitsunori Takaboshi, Tomonobu Fujii) will participate in VLN 5.
This must be a sign that Nissan will make a full factory participation by GTR GT3 in the Nürburgring 24h race.

I've put together a little race report. It's not much as I wasn't there but it should still give a bit of an idea of what happened: https://www.gt-report.com/2018/08/23...green-machine/
