Could the actual livery look more like this? I quite like this.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the livery for the Le Mans 24h will be the subject of a contest again, correct?

So pretty much what we saw is what we get, till then, I guess. Makes life interesting, anyway...

No second driver announced yet I see.
Now that Porsche have listed their drivers some good names are available for what is effectively the Works Aston |

Absence of Jan Charouz... I actually read the Renault (test) driver lineup announcement yesterday but apparently did not register his name. Surprising because usually when a driver moves away from single seater "ladder" system, there is no going back. Antonin's wealthiness might have played a part here.

I think Silverstone and Petit or Asia - if they intended to to both why would they not state they are planning on doing the LMIC?

Do Aston/Prodrive have the capability to build an engine from scratch (for 2011), or will they go elsewhere, i.e. Cosworth?

Cosworth is a likely choice, as they are british and have good experience with all types of engines, and is receiving good funding from several F1 teams. Maybe Cosworth will make a "standard" Le Mans engine to compete with Judd, AIM and Mazda? |

For sure, most drivers that step back into the single-seater game in Formula Renault 3.5 don't end up as concurrent F1 testers either! Of course, most are not reigning LMS P1 champions either, but still...
Anyway, it's a 3rd test driver role behind Tung and D'Ambrosio who are racing for DAMS in GP2 so it's not like he's liable to see much serious seat time, but it makes a nice fun diversion and resume-stuffer. |

I'm assuming this is the 2009 'Lola' Aston that will be used? And we'll have to wait until 2011 to see the true factory prototype? All the same, great news... Can't wait to hear the V12 whine one last time!

It looks like Lowes are contributing to Fernandez's AMR drive:
