Good example!
They do seem to have done a fair bit of running at the Lausitzring - 900kms, apparently. https://www.autosport.com/wec/news/b...test/10343190/ |

Btw, lots of alternative, potential name options for Kolles (some with various levels of racing pedigree): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._manufacturers

This was always my query with LMH and (race) teams wanting to build cars to compete. I guess it means that its unrealistic (or impossible) for a pure race team to build and race an LMH car unless they are in some way tied to a car manufacturer.

It's sad that this is the discussion, rather than the performance of the car - but the fact that it is, is nobody's fault but the team management. |

This is Kolles so everything happening so far is surely within the norm for them. I actually find it surprising people are surprised that weird things keep happening around Kolles

Good news! The team is planning to enter two cars into the 2023 FIA WEC season.
Car looks great too, let’s hope all goes well. https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/...-for-2023.html |

It's changed since the original publication of the rules but I think it's still 20 cars across two years? |

I thought Toyota scrapped plans to build their production cars. So not sure it's a requirement anymore?

Naming the car 'Vandervell LMH' does suggest a (continued) strong link to the original historic brand/50's F1 team so what has changed (if any) in the trademark process? Guess we'll found out soon.
In the meantime we can continue to wonder about Kolles' wanderers ways! |

I was thinking it actually sounds more like a German mispronunciation of an Oasis hit.

Let's just hope they go through with this. Certainly their intentions seem serious enough, let's just hope they can make it viable

Good work here from DSC. Also combating a bit of 'internet knowledge' In short, what a tangled mess. Again. I wonder whether they'll turn up at Le Mans next year and get their steering wheels seized again! |
