My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.

Haven't seen a lot about the penalties but the shot above shows that JW would have at least two wheels on the right side of the kerb (if they weren't in the air) much like anyone else throught that part of the track. The shot on the news last night showed MW with his whole car over the wrong side of the kerb.

Pretty clear cut penalty.

Wasn't there a rule introduced that the manufacturers are not allowed to contract drivers? Only teams?

I'm at work and have just been told by workmates that the Clipsal's on today.

WTF???

I've been in some sort of time warp what with a lot going on recently. So, I went to the V8 website to check for results, times, etc. I was a bit disappointed that the Top Ten results have yet to be posted. Hmm. Over to Natsoft to get the full results (V8 website shows top 4 or 5).

I then went to www.yourtv.com.au to check the program guide. Imagine my disappointment, particularly with all the hype that Freeview is going on about, that Prime HD is showing some second rate sci-fi show and something about horses. Melbourne's Seven HD is showing the same pap.

Anyone here know why Seven isn't broadcasting the V8s in HD?

Finally, what's the with JD Racing and Perkins? Does he still run the show? I see that Dodo racing and some other fellow who didn't qualify appear to be running out of the same workshop going by the team address and website details.

And apologies if I'm going over old stuff. I haven't been around for a while.

More a complete corner cut than a kerb hop I would say after seeing the footage on FoxSports. He was virtually off-track. Didn't they used to have a tyre bundle there? How many will do it in the race today and get pinged I wonder?

Mr Perkins hit a wall, broke teh driver's front suspension - upright/control arm etc... back out there though... still pressing on

Mr D'Alberto hit a wall on the first lap, ripped out the Watts Linkage bolts... they didnt seem to fix it to get him back out...

Whats the deal with Van Giz, i know courtney has left the team, but that was ment to be a budget saving idea for them, seems he's taken over the position perfectly.

Did he get a penalty? or will he be getting one? Or can you just deliberatly turn people around now?
