Not long now until the Bathurst 12 hours, no PRO class this year and very few overseas teams, leaving a slightly understated grid. Still, Gounon, SVG, Mostert... Theres still some hope for a good race..
Hope to see more than 20-25 cars on the grid, but seems like its going to be a little thin on the ground this year Bathurst 12 Hours 2022 - 13 Cars GT3 PRO-AM - 10 Cars Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - Chaz Mostert / Liam Talbot / Fraser Ross Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - Dean Fiore / Marc Cini / Lee Holdsworth Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - TBC / TBC / TBC Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - TBC / TBC / TBC Craft Bamboo Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3 - TBC / TBC / TBC Grove Racing - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Brenton Grove / Stephen Grove / Ben Barker SunEnergy1 Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Jules Gounon / Kenny Habul / Martin Konrad / Luca Stolz Team BRM - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - Nick Percat / Joey Mawson / Mark Rosser Triple Eight JMR - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Shane van Gisbergen / Broc Feeney / Prince Jefri Ibrahim Wall Racing - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Tony D’Alberto / Grant Denyer / Adrian Deitz / David Wall GT3 AM - 2 Cars Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - Theo Koundouris / Paul Stokell / David Russell Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - TBC / TBC / TBC GT2 - 1 Car M-Motorsport - KTM X-Bow GT2 - David Crampton / Trent Harrison / Dale Wood |

Add in 2 more local Mercs. The Griffith car and one other.
I intend to go up for the weekend but not feeling much enthusiasm.Saying it is a pale shadow of the last 6-7 events is being too kind. |

20 cars, not horrible. Hoping we get a few good battles with SVG, vs Gounon, vs Mostert, vs hopefully a few Audi guns in those Valvoline cars. To be honest, 12 hours of 20 cars circulating a track like Bathurst is going to be worth watching as always. |

Better than I was expecting 2 weeks ago.
Have to look at this year as being a band aid solution to keep the race happening and that we will go back to normal next February. Any clues about drivers for Craft Bamboo? |

Very good chance for substantial rain over the weekend.

The number 47 Audi crashed at Reid Park during practice today.
Possibly now down to 19 starters for Sunday's race. |

Ratel was openly speaking about encouraging the older drivers in GT4 to move on to GT2 and leave GT4 for the younger driver pairings
(silver/silver) during the SRO press conference today. |

In other news, the Gulf 12 Hours has been added for the next two years and Kyalami moves to February.

Looks like GT World Challenge itself is staying GT3 only, so going to have to be VERY selective on the additional Spa entries if your adding in say 10 GT2s (66 GT3 at Spa this weekend)

Pictures from my first visit to Indianapolis Motor Speedway: https://bit.ly/3TucqQk
I’m very pleased to have seen IMS, which is a very impressive place. As usual at US motorsports events, the staff and fans were friendly and helpful. It was a great day out. The road course though, is pretty average as a spectator experience and poor for photos. High fences, no elevation changes, no access to any of the high stands except one tiny area low down opposite the start, no access to the area over the bridge by the lake. I asked why so much was closed and was told “we only open the stands for the big races, not a low-key event like this”. It seems SRO has a way to go to get this higher up the status pole. Still, it was a lovely day and I did my best to be creative with the angles and the subsequent cropping! I hope you enjoy . |

Ha, i missed this. touché
Just noticed that the Bathurst 12 Hour event is this weekend, feel like its kinda snuck up on us after all the excitement of Daytona. Entry List looks decent. There are images of a Nissan Skyline GT3 being unloaded at the circuit but nothing on the Entry list though? https://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/ra...rmation/entry/ |

The grid is smaller which for the Bathurst race is a good thing cause there is less a risk of lots of safety cars which has plagued the race over the years. Fingers crossed for good weather there. |
