Audi lost 8s in this last pit stop.

Joest needs to hire some new pit crew guys to minimize the damage that the extra refueling time takes.

Also, the #1 Porsche had to shortfill to make up that much time on the #8 Audi and #6 Toyota.

As I recall, the other two usually need a splash to finish .... and Audi should just make it on three full stops, no splash ... plus they are fractionally quicker.
I really wanted Toyota to win, but Audi ...... even though they were kind enough to break one car .... looks like it will win with the other. EDIT: the Toyotas are faster than the Porsches, but Audi is the only car in the 25s. |

It's not just the refueling - the #8's first two stops were in the region of 83 seconds (compared to 80-81 for the petrol cars). The two longer stops have been due to other problems as well.

Sarrazin has been asked to save fuel as much as possible.

The #5 is only 29 seconds back. Maybe they'll get a break and fight at the front too.

Bernhard double-dips to pass Sarrazin on the front straight, only for the #6 to pass back at T4 thanks in part to the #67 getting in the way of the #1.

Can't fault Sarazin for that move ... looks like the Toyota has more low-end acceleration and the Porsche is better through medium- and fast corners.

Meanwhile, they lost a gaggle of time to Duval. Now they're both 6-7 seconds back.

That's twice now I've seen Sarrazin get chopped by an LMP2 into T10. Once bitten, twice shy.
Bernhard into second. |

Why should it be over, there's 1/3 of the race remaining

Not sure the hype for Sarrazin from the commentators is real or just for hyping up the race. He's not good enough in traffic right now.

How much must Audi gain to offset longer last pit stop?
Toyota has been good with pit stops all season I hope they don't disappoint now. |

Lol .... NOW they tell Sarazin he can go faster .... how about three laps ago while he was in the lead?
It was over two hours ago, or more ... no one could handle the pace of the Audi ... |

You're biased ... you're a Toyota fan.
I want Toyota to win, but I don't see them having the speed ... Duval just doubled the gap, so it must have been traffic. Edit: Sarazin couldn't hang with Bernhard. Bernhard is a good driver, but the Porsche also seemed to have the speed. |

What a stupid decision from Toyota to leave Sarrazin on for a second stint despite of changing tires at the stop
