First one I've seen in the wild

Member of APD based on parking pass in window. It still has that STUPID fold down shifter in the console. The thing is MASSIVE and obviously electronic anyway, just make it a dial and give me storage space

I’m currently wearing a manual gearbox preservation society shirt, but I’m fully for autos (in the right car) as long as you take advantage of them. You don’t need anything cluttering up the middle.

Yup, and half ton trucks don't need a manual any more, I would even include everything up to true medium and HD trucks with 12 plus boxes. I love having the extra console storage bucket and dial shifter of my truck vs the previous gen Mopar transmission console shifter, other users here prefer their truck.

Miata sure, 1 or 2 series great, 4 seat heavy highway cruiser/GT or people mover of SUV/4 door/van variety nah, good auto is fine. Allowance made for the Mazdaspeed products cause Zoom Zoom.

True sportscars I can see the argument both ways, engagement of manual vs speed of a sequential box is a debate with having and each can be enjoyed.

A crossing continents GT car should be auto. Sequential for when you hit those alpine roads if you like.

Sports cars, especially small engined ones manual. It’s about perfecting the drive. Not necessarily about being quick.

A GT86 manual. An Alpine, wish it was manual, but sounds like it’s fits the bill.

Your palate cleansers are spot on. One has to be auto, the other manual.

Actually on the latter, do you get sequential son that, especially with the bike engined ones?

Agree on all counts above. Definitely the sequential with the bike motors, keep the revs up and bang through the box

Seems like I'd see 4 or 5 Things a day growing up. Now I'll see 1 every two years.

Saw a proper Bug today at the Pub. Didn't even think to grab a photo but it was yellow with blue fenders and not Bug wheels....some other type of four bolt pattern oddness.

The QX80 might not be the most pleasant thing to look at but neither is this. A buddy of mine works at an EMC (Electric Membership Corporation, electric utility provider, fwiw, not sure if the same thing is across the pond or not). This is his company car. First time I got to ride in an all electric vehicle and it's AWD. It's not a damn Mustang but it's pretty incredible. The torques!!!

What if they gave it some T-tops? Would that make it more mustang for you?

I've never been in an electric car, no wait, once it was an Insight or Clarity or what ever Honda model a few years ago. We went 1/2 mile in heavy traffic and parked. No clue if it had any torques.
