This is going to be a cracking race as the track is so wide and perfect for the V8's.

I saw the F1s there last year and whilst that was a good race, 30+ V8s is going to be mindblowing!

NO. If you read it again it now says it will not be available for the 1st round. They apparently don't know how to use the internet!

and they claim to be world class. you would think for the first event of the year at a new track in the middle of camelland they would be doing all they could to get the event out there and keep the fans happy (or as happy as can be since the first round is halfway around the world).

If overseas computers are not blocked, you would normally be able to see it HERE.

But even Australians won't be able to see the first round, by a look of it, due to 'technical restraints'.

Typical of V8SCA.

No racing since December to plan the year and get things right,
and give the fans nothing.

Another farce.

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/videos...5/default.aspx

2nd time in 24 hours they have updated this page now they have given some pathetic ereasons.

Quote:
* Due to such a short period between seasons and a brand new site just launched, there has been limitations on what can be made available for the first overseas event

* As Abu Dhabi is a new circuit for V8 Supercars, further tests must be conducted on the brand new application to ensure its robustness in order to prevent causing problems with the rest of the website

* Its a free service and 100% availability cannot be guarranteed
* first off why launch a new application if the time frame is too short?

* if it will work on other circuits it should work at Abu Dhabi as well if not better as it's a better facility then anything V8's have seen.

* WTF first off it want to be free and 2nd it's been free for years and the live timing (XBOX) and video has copped decently so why would it stuff up now for avalibility.

$5 million on an ad aand they can't even get something as simple as live timing up.

VESA please don't try to justify it as it makes you look even more stupid.

The denizens of Stalag Nerang are too busy negotiating with governments, track owners and rock stars to be able to produce anything for race fans.

That's ridiculous. Is the internet banned as well in Abu Dhabi?

Theres no practical reason they couldn't stream it. The BATHURST 12 HOUR managed it for god's sake, and it was brilliant. V8 Supercars have alot more money and people, theres no excuses.

Maybe the technology side of V8 Supercars is being run by "timmeh". Theres no wheelchair access at the Abu Dhabi circuit so he couldn't make it.

I think EBXR8 is on the money... its all so that they ensure higher ratings for the delayed coverage.

I wish V8 Supercars would just die already so that we could see real motorsport. If you're going to flog a dead horse, at least do it properly.

And by the way! Look at the "features" this new application has:

"The application will include:

* Live Timing
* Live Top 10 Race Tracker
* Live audio commentary
* Video streaming including all qualifying sessions live, and races in simulcast with Channel 7 Broadcast
* 24/7 V8 TV Channel
* V8 video archive
* Circuit profiles
* Driver entry lists and Championship Series standings"

How is that different to what they offered last year?!
