In that last session Toyota had a little advantage over Glickenhaus. And that seems to be a fair reflection.
The chart shows any laps under 3:50 for any car for all sessions after the test day. It is displayed in one second bins. The distribution is towards lower times for Toyota. It includes the qualifying, but that isn't that many many laps. The Toyotas are c.1s faster than the Glickenhaus. This feels about write from the sessions and it seemed a little more in that final session. It wouldn't surprise me if this was a typical race pace difference. Over the week Glickenhaus are c.1s faster than Alpine. This data includes before and after the recent gains for Alpine today. So they might be a bit closer. Whatever, for Le Mans these are close times. Should be fun. |

Lappery
Update of who's been putting the miles in.
Similar to last time, but just grown. There are notable cars that have missed out on some running due to accidents. Could be worse though. |

Focus on #47
And the team of 10-10ths this year is #47 as we have friends on that one this year.
(I also have a friend who works for Toyota, but they'll get the coverage anyway ) You might have noticed that #47 was highlighted in the session rankings chart already. Anyway, what about Algave Pro Racing's drivers? Who should we look out for in the race who might be pushing on and, as is the way in LMP2, who do they manage in the FCY etc...? I've includes the sister car #45 for more comparisons. Aitken and Allen are the speedsters. Falb and Thomas arguably the ones that will win it for them. Quickest is the #45, but bring in the second driver and it is even and Falb seems to have the advantage . So #47 seems stronger, but #45 has had the problems. #47 didn't get the luck either in Q, but we should see it gain in the race. First chart shows the spread. There is a bigger spread on #45 due to the lower sample caused by the accident. The table. The average and median don't help - too many slow laps from pitting, FCY, SZ, etc... I quite like the top 25% quartile as a guide. Not sure which view I like best. I feel it could be better. |

Those yellow hares will take some beating. I reckon they could have a quick nap.

TDS Driver Prohibited from Competing
Phillipe Cimadomo deemed a danger to himself and others after a series of incidents. Can the team find a replacement in time?

Great lap by Hartley to put the Toyota on pole. Should make for an interesting battle between the two Toyotas. Hopefully the Alpine and the Glicks can give them some competition
Glad to see de Vries get the chance, even if it's in extreme circumstances. I'm sure he will do a great job in that car |

Very good laps from both Hartley and Lapierre. I guess Kobayashi was a bit too careful to avoid another track limits abuse (they thought that his previous time got deleted I believe but later it was back - why?). Also strong performance by both Corvettes, they really have a shot at victory this year.

Guess they don't want to be the new Aston Martin to get post-qualifying BOP update
Anybody knows if GTEs are running on same tyres as last year? I remember Goodyear being asked to "improve" their tyres for better stratification, maybe Michelin got a similar request and different tyres contribute to pace loss. |

Wasn't it at LeMans when Narain Karthikeyan tried to jump a wall or something and injured it leg or foot or whatever, and had to sit out the race?
Edit: Ah yes "On 14 June 2009 Karthikeyan dislocated his shoulder in a fall just before the start of the race. He had come up with strong performances in the practice and the qualifying, and was scheduled to do the opening double stint. At 1:00 am the ACO organisation declared him unsuitable to drive, even though the Audi doctor approved it." |

He was crashed into by a pro driver, and the radio commentators really slagged off Hoshino for a long time, but it was the pro's fault. |

Starting Grid has been updated:
http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/Res..._Grid_Race.PDF Got names against each car. Have the starting drivers already been nominated? Or is this just a default. |

Worried the new GT3 rules discussion gets lost in the race week thread. So moved to it's own thread.
https://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157189 Probably move to the ACO sub forum at some point, but we can keep it in 24 for the race week. |
